The turbo six doesn't fit. With the turbo'd 2.0 & 2.5, they mounted the turbo and its plumbing where the two front cylinders were. But maybe the 3.0 turbo motor could also be considered,

But why does this have to be about people on the internet. I've got quite a few friends with 981s and one or two with 982s. None of them would order a GTS if it only came in manual. This discussion is about them - the real buyers. So that is one, and some other hundreds on Rennlist. A drop of water in the ocean.
Ironically, when I was looking for that 3rd weekend toy, I thought quite a bit about the 86/BRZ and kept thinking "if only Subaru made this thing in proper STI guise with a decent turbo engine - I'd be there in a flash".Just as the number of 86/BRZ owners which are happy with 'no torque', compared to the all cry no buy internet crowd.
Friend of my father runs our local Porsche dealership. And I asked him about manual and PDK. He said to him PDK is no brainer. Especially with GT3. Everyone is raving about a manual GT3, but he said the PDK suits the car so much better. That mostly this manual gearbox raving is total BS in his opinion. And he runs Porsche dealership for more than 10 years...But why does this have to be about people on the internet. I've got quite a few friends with 981...
Absolutely agree with you. The notion of a manual GT3 being better than a PDK version is romaticised nonsense pedalled by old farts like me who think they deserve a Noddy badge for their fancy footwork.Friend of my father runs our local Porsche dealership. I hope they will drop this engine in the next S model as well and only keep the 4-cylinder for the base model.
At the video from Matt Farrah was best seen. He had the Spyder whole time in 3rd gear. I think it goes almost 200(!) in 3rd gear!PDK is a must in this car if the gears are that tall, even if they aren't its a must for me.

Objectively, better in every measurable way.Of course automatic is a no brainer in todays cars. It does not make it better, just obvious.[/...
I've heard the same thing and it's the only rational reason for it.Also for those perplexed over the tall gearing it has been explained that due to the NA engine it needs taller gears to pass emissions. Don’t know if that’s bs or not.
