Panamera [Official] 2021 Porsche Panamera facelift

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
Wow, this car hasn't aged well.

the bar was set pretty low to be fair

I would tend to go for the Hybrid version, it has the power and pace of the old Turbo and with nearly 60km of electric range, pretty awesome to tell you the truth.

It also weighs more than a Tesla S, as heavy as a G Wagon.

No. But an EV Taycan over a PHEV Panamera. I just find PHEVs a "neither this not nor that" product.
They probably appeal to different kinds of people. The PHEV will be suited for people that still enjoy the sound of an ICE but want to step into the new world of electric power without giving up on the past, while the EV is for those that totally want to drive the future now and have no link to the past, they think ICE are a dying breed and want total environmental friendly vehicles.

sound of an ICE
That is a very wide net.

Subjective stuff - Only a handful of ICE engines sound special enough these days. If sound is important to you, get those by all means. Rest just make shitty farty, fake sound. And for these cars that are not that special sounding, going for the sound, is like eating shitty fast food for the gourmet taste. Just as well stay home and eat something healthy. Just all IMO.

Taycan is a sports electric car, its not as comfortable and luxurious like Panamera.

Hybrids combine best of both worlds, electric drive for city trips and just 5 minutes stops on long travels. I think its annoying to wait 40-50 minutes to fill up the car every 400km when the Hybrid can go 800km and then stop for 5 minutes to refill.

Driving a hybrid in EV mode has nothing in common with driving a real EV.

Right now, the Panamera Turbo S is the top-spec four-door from Porsche you can buy with 620 horsepower and 604 pound-feet (820 Newton-meters) of torque. The previous Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid boasted 677 horsepower (498kW), but that came from a 3.0-liter supercharged V6. Rumors are pointing towards a hybrid version of the already epic 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo found in the Turbo S. And Porsche is no stranger to making their cars go even faster with nifty electric power. “There will be more to come. Just wait some weeks or some months,” says Friemuth. “The product line will, as you know from the past, have three hybrids. So, the base hybrid and the Turbo S E-Hybrid will come in the next month.”

He also said that the electrified version will be more powerful than the Turbo S, but not necessarily faster in terms of lap times. “The Turbo S E-Hybrid, on a track like the Nurburgring, will not be faster. It has more horsepower but in terms of the weight of the car, at the Nürburgring, the conventional Turbo S is faster.”

It has also been confirmed by Friemuth that electric motors in each Panamera model will add around 134 horsepower (100kW). So, in theory, if added to the Turbo S and its 4.0-liter V8, you're looking at a new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid with almost 740 horsepower (550 kW-ish), topping even the 911.2 GT2 RS.
