Wow, this car hasn't aged well.
I would tend to go for the Hybrid version, it has the power and pace of the old Turbo and with nearly 60km of electric range, pretty awesome to tell you the truth.
It also weighs more than a Tesla S, as heavy as a G Wagon.
Would you buy a Tesla S instead of a Panamera?
They probably appeal to different kinds of people. The PHEV will be suited for people that still enjoy the sound of an ICE but want to step into the new world of electric power without giving up on the past, while the EV is for those that totally want to drive the future now and have no link to the past, they think ICE are a dying breed and want total environmental friendly vehicles.No. But an EV Taycan over a PHEV Panamera. I just find PHEVs a "neither this not nor that" product.
That is a very wide net.sound of an ICE

Driving a hybrid in EV mode has nothing in common with driving a real EV.Taycan is a sports electric car, its not as comfortable and luxurious like Panamera.
Hybrids combine best of both worlds, electric drive for city trips and just 5 minutes stops on long travels. I think its annoying to wait 40-50 minutes to fill up the car every 400km when the Hybrid can go 800km and then stop for 5 minutes to refill.

It's the torque that matters. EVs are all about torque. What's the difference?
Do you need an electric car with 400+ ps for city driving? Except Germany, in most countries that's too much even for regular roads.
The previous Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid boasted 677 horsepower (498kW), but that came from a 3.0-liter supercharged V6.
Exactly was just about to sayThat is not correct. The pre facelift Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid had a 4.0 V8.
Mistake by the writer. The important bit is that there is a new turbo S E-Hybrid coming. That is not correct. The pre facelift Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid had a 4.0 V8.
