That was fun to watch. Brought back memories of working at a Volvo assembler plant when I was 18.

Excellent video, an experience I'd never seen before, with access I thought wasn't allowed.

Saw this rather eye catching M3 Touring today in some shade of individual green. It has every single factory options installed, including carbon ceramic brakes and those 20/21 inch 1000M wheels. This owner would have spent an extra 20% of the price of the car just on these options alone... impressive.

klier just got wood

I wood if I lived in the U.S
It's not even just a manual gearbox, but also RWD. Pretty sensational yeah, a mechanical masterpiece.

edit; just read it's the same engine as a base manual M3, so that's disappointing to say the least (almost 100 hp less than an actual CS). They call it a CS because of a little more carbon and a little less weight I suppose.

Still very cool of course.

BMW has a RWD manual gearbox in the 3.0 CSL (412 kW, 550 Nm). THAT powertrain should be the G80 send off! Not this fake thing.

They also get the LCI lights. Since M3 CS was pre-LCI.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
