You don't get me... I'm not speaking about badge, I only say BMW 550i doesn't exist without M package, all of them come with M package, touring and sedan. You could/can order it with or without badge, but without M package you cannot.

No, I saw that. I edited in a real one, not a model car. I was on my phone and the pic was tiny.

550i F10/11 even came as a Luxury Line, AFAIK

This whole M Performance thing is new, and I don't think the F10/11 came with it. E28 and G30 come with 'M lite versions'.
Didn't you actually have an F10 550i? You opted for the M pack, which you seem to have forgotten.

M340i/M550i/etc is a direct response to what Audi used do with the S4, S5, S6 and S8, but I am not sure these even exist anymore.....they're all but gone.

Didn't you actually have an F10 550i? You opted for the M pack, which you seem to have forgotten.

What's that supposed to mean? I've never ever thought of buying any of my 550i cars without M pack and i was sure it wasn't even available. Only my E39 523i and my first E60 530d were non M, all others were M sport. I've thought 550i models were only offered with M sport, just like 550d model.

An LCI G30 540i with the M-Sport pack is pretty much the Goldilock choice of 4-door luxury sedans. It's just right.

It’s my #1 choice in this class hands down. The next E needs to have an AMG lite E55 V8 to compete with this but they won’t.

The next E class will compete not with this but with the next 5 series, which won't offer a V8 except in the full M5.
