Interesting you mention that, because on the small overlap front collision video of the S90 (I think it was from IIHS) you can also clearly see, how the car moves/catapults away from the obstacle.Guys, did you notice, in the second video, the shape of the front subframe which is designed in such a way that in a small overlap front collision the car will steer away from the obstacle?

Yeap. Same goes for the XC90 as well!Interesting you mention that, because on the small overlap front collision video of the S90 (I think it was from IIHS) you can also clearly see, how the car moves/catapults away from the obstacle.

Something about the exterior design is off to me. Don't know if It's the front overhang... the headlights seem a little too big and the profile off.
I think it's safe to say it will drive on the comfort side, so not sure if you'll like it better than your X3.
(Bear in mind - there will be new X3 soon, so the only fair comparison is new X3 vs new XC60).
Of course, I'd pick the Volvo - just look at those seats!!! (And what is the point of a 'sporty SUV'? You have an SUV, and you have a sports car. Mixing those into one is a compromise).
Just because they are more common, does not mean they are any less cool. The only downside of Volvo's success is that they are everywhere now.
I drove a Volvo before it was cool and it's not a rare sight anymore.
