Yep the germans will have to come up with something special to reply to these 2 American hyper saloons!!! They would need to raise the bar up to 700PS (515kW) to at least come close to the Hellcat (717PS/707HP (527kW)).

They only need to lower the weight, which is exactly what BMW is doing. No need for 700 hp in a sedan like that. Just lower the weight.

Yes that would be an added benefit to lower the weight of their cars. 700hp does sound like overkill in a saloon like this that is a family car as well! Lower weight, improved weight distribution, better traction and quicker gearchangers will improve their performance for sure

It's just the power that makes me admire that car,it's also the looks which quite frankly makes the German three looks vanilla in comparison and i bet this one will sound much better too.

It would be nice if GM opted what the Germans are doing. Stating on paper figures lower than the outputs.

I have driven the previous generation CTS-V on race track, and it was not bad. I look forward to putting the new one to test. Impressive numbers.

The new CTS-V looks impressive in those MT racetrack videos and fast too. 0-60mph in 3.8sec and quarter mile in 11.9sec at 122mph, enough to put it on par with M5 and E63.
