A3/S3/RS3 [Official] 2015 Audi RS3 Sportback

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured by Audi AG. Production: 1996-
Let's hope this car is better to drive, but I think it will have its work cut out by the excellent driving BMW M235i

Which is saying something because the M235i isn't a rival to the RS 3. None of the M Performance models are, but if you HAVE to choose one of those then it's the M135i (5-door). In six months when the M2 Coupe is launched then that will be more of a rival to the RS 3, albeit not directly a rival.

That's becasue it wasn't a sportscar it's a hot hatch. Plenty of testers preferred the RS3 to the M135.
That doesn't say much at all unfortunaly. Current RS3 is no great sportscar or hot hatch, much better drivers options out there. Let's see iof this new one is better.

have you driven the "current RS3"?
Does it matter? I've read about the car from various people I listen too. So instead trying to tell me I'm wrong show me what makes the RS3 so much better than other cars and I'll be quiet.

PS I'm not talking about the 2015 RS3.

And there were plenty of magazines which loved it and rated it higher than the M135i. Most point out that the car was so easy to drive fast that it didn't leave much challenge for the driver. You need to prove otherwise, as you're the one saying it's not a good car but haven't provided any proof.

The VW Golf is not a sporty or drivers car period. Putting an Audi badge on it doesn't change a damn thing.
I am sure your mind will wrap around that one day or the other.

I don't have to prove anything, I'm not the one insecure about what I've read.
Funny, when you say something negative about a car, people dispute you, when you say something positive no one cares.
Anyway, there is no more need to be said from my part.

Yes you are right they not direct rivals (as we still waiting for the M2 :biggrin.doodle:) but the mags will most likely compare it to the M235i, just like the A45 AMG has been compared in some cases to gauge its driving thrills. Well the new M135i (5-door) will be a much better rival now it has more power although short of the Audi and Merc but it still has that wonderfully entertaining RWD chassis (Good Lord please keep this for the next 1 series hehe)

That's because you're narrow minded.

It's funny,I haven't said anything on the matter. Why do come across as so insecure and defensive? You've claimed the car isn't a great hatch or even sporty, yet it was extremely popular for Audi. So there's exist a large camp of people who would suggest otherwise, and you seem to be implying the very same thing over this new model.

Me insecure and defensive? Never. My ego is too strong. If you think the car is all that then its fine by me but I simply don't agree. And I haven't said anything bad about the new RS3. Life is too short so is this discussion.

I believe such insecurities arise when some members have too much of a fiesta telling people about how good their car is. No other cars can even come close.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
