A6/S6/RS6 [Official] 2015 Audi A6

Audi with this A6 has gained the second place on the segment in terms of looks (I still prefer the 5er). With the next A6, if it´s really based on the Prologue, it could very well be the looker of the segment.

Agree. Both the current A6 and BMW 5 series cars are very pleasing to the eye.

Much appears to indicate that Audi will indeed be making far more than an evolutionary departure from its' current styling themes. As the Prologue concepts succeed the already "finished and signed-off" A6, A7 and A8 successors, they should be a very clear indication of what is in store.

Somewhat lengthened and lower hoodlines and slightly reduced front overhangs, wider and lower grills, a less arch-like roofline-yet with a very rakish C-pillar, wider tracks. Both Marc Lichte and Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg (as well as a number of "insiders" who have allegedly actually seen the cars) maintain that Audis' large car entries will be the most sporting, most aesthetically dynamic offerings in their respective segments.

Here's to sincerely hoping that the "talk is walked" and not merely an exercise in corporate glib.

Audi is giving the A6 and A7 a discreet facelift along with adding new goodies.

The A7 Sportback has been around since 2010 and was followed a year later by the A6, but Audi isn’t ready yet to introduce brand new replacements. The current models will soldier on for a while which is why the folks from Ingolstadt have decided it would be appropriate to come up with a series of revisions for the existing models.

Work started on the outside where the A6 fitted with the optional S line package has received a sharper front fascia boasting an updated radiator grille with a matte black look and gloss chrome slats. In addition, the car’s side air inlets are now adorned by chrome struts, and from now on the versions fitted with adaptive cruise control will have chrome rings.

Matador Red and Gotland Green are joining the color palette and are available for the hotter S versions as well. In addition, the models can now be ordered with a Java Brown hue which was previously offered only on the rugged A6 allroad. Go for the A6 Sedan or A6 Avant and you get to pick from two fresh wheel designs, while the sexy A7 Sportback gains three new alloys.

The A6 allroad is gaining an optional Advanced package which encompasses a new shade called “Soho Brown” and a gray look for the add-on body parts. The car rides on 20-inch wheels and is equipped with a permanent all-wheel-drive quattro system featuring a sport differential. The cabin of the jacked-up midsize wagon fitted with this optional kit comes with sport seats wrapped in Valcona leather in Santos Brown with silver stitching. Velour floor mats along with Aluminum Ellipse silver or fine grain birch natural agate gray inlays round off the updates.

The A6 and A7 along with their S counterparts now take advantage of new LED lighting for the cabin and the trunk. These four models can be optionally fitted with new inlays in Aluminum Ellipse silver and fine grain birch natural agate gray, while the A6 allroad can be specified with an Aluminum Ellipse bronze trim.

On the tech side, smartphone connectivity through Apple Car Play and Android Auto is now displayed on the MMI monitor and Audi is adding inductive charging functionality to its phone box. Rear-seat entertainment is granted by a pair of detachable tablets offered for both the A and S versions of the two model lineups.

The revised models are scheduled to go on sale very soon without any price changes and Audi says deliveries will kick off in the summer.

Everything is variable, maybe the next big thing will be variable tyre tread (changing tread softness by melting rubber with heating elements built into tyre and automatic tread adjuster, small electric actuaters that move the tread blocks from left to right and backwards and forwards):ROFLMAO:

A second "facelift" for the A6/A7? So when will the next generation of A6/A7 hit the showrooms? End of 2018??

No wonder driving cars increasingly feels like playing video games. Too much electronics doing unnecessary things. Imagine the costs of repairing one of those in 5-10 years when warranty has experied and the car has covered 70,000 miles

I generally think out if the 3 Germans , BMW produce the most timeless designs that refuse to age ..... but I must give it to the A6 C7 it can pass for a new design in 2018 it really runs the F10 5er close if not even.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
