VW USA needs to fix their CUV/SUV lineup if they want to sell 800k units in the USA. They won't get to 800k units by bringing over the new Golf or even introducing the Polo here. They need to (and I believe they are) introduce a new Tiguan that truly competes on size and price. They need a car that stands out from a very crowded CUV market. The Toureg needs to go, IMO. It's not positioned properly for VWs US image. As others have said, it's a good car but I just don't think that American buyers look at VW in the same vein as MB/BMW/Lexus, etc. They need a CUV/SUV lineup that mirrors that of Mazda or Ford. If they can get the positioning right like they've done for the Jetta and the Passat I think they can probably reach their goal but 4 years isn't a long way off. They need the new CUV/SUVs on the road very soon.
