The deposit will lay there until I see the SQ5 details, at the moment I have a chance of buying back my S4 Avant that I had 18/20 months ago from a friend I sold it to, this would be a great replacement for the wife's GTI since it's still in mint condition and has only got 17000miles on the clock plus the A3SB won't be available till Spring next year and the Mk7 GTI even later. If this comes off the SQ5 would make a nicer alternative to an S4 than the RS4 and allow me to drive something difference from time to time.

This is an e-mail from Audi UK to me, do you think this is a standard letter put out to every potential Audi customer in the off chance they will be interested in an RS4? LOL

This is telling you that those with a deposit get the cars first.

we recommend you place your order at the earliest convenience

This means that up until now RRP nor standard or optional spec were available so ordering the car was impossible until now.

P.S.
So yes I have placed my deposit months ago which is effectively an order but the car couldn't actually be ordered until Audi open their books which is now the case.

Amazing! Red is such a great colour for this car.

I love red but will not choose it for a silly reason. The RS badge on the rear has the red "flag" behind it. This gets "lost" if it is a red car. Please all laugh!

I want to go back to four doors. That is the main reason.

I am not fixed on the RS4 though. I am all over the place. Tested the Porsche Cayenne, Jaguar XFR and even the Land Rover Evoque which I love the look of but 1) no power 2) no space for golf clubs!!!Wassup with that? I can put three sets of clubs in the RS5 easily!

So waiting for the RS4 to come out. Test and then see how I feel then.

The front end of this car is the absolute king of its class. I hope Audi goes this route with the B9.
