Panamera Official: 2012 Panamera GTS

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
^Probably, it is the official curb weight listed @ Porsche.com/usa, so yea it is probably the base car with just standard equipment.

That not entirely true. Black cladding is sometime used to give sports cars a sleeker horizontal profile. It makes the car look less heavy in the metal.

Actually, I think this is by far the best looking Panamera. They blacked out the rocker panels and rear diffuser and exhaust tips to give the car a slimmer look. Looks much better than the 'slab sided' standard car.

If they were going for cost savings on the body style, they wouldn't have included $6,500 worth of exterior cosmetic options (the sport design kit for $5,550, the Bi-Xenon headlights in black for $575, and the high gloss exterior package for $390).

Just ordered one. March production, April delivery.

Platinum Silver
Black Leather/Alcantara w/sports seats
20" 911 Turbo Wheels
Delete model designation
Porsche Entry & Drive
ParkAssist (f&R) w/Rev camera
Bose Stereo
Sat receiver w/HD radio
PDCC w/Torque Vectoring
Lugg Compart Retract Roll Cov

MSRP $123,540, sales price $116,127 or 6% discount. Very good dealership - they guarantee the engine and drivetrain for the life of the vehicle if you service with them.

I had a very tough time making the decision vs the new M5, but in the end, it came down to just a few items:

1. I don't need 560 Hp on the street.
2. I do need awd and the best handling, best sounding, most responsive luxury sedan I can get.
3. The GTS had pretty much everything I was looking for in the Panamera.
4. I was ready for something different after 130,000 miles in my E60 M5.

Looking forward to picking it up in a few months!

great choice..please post pics when you get it:)

Congrats:D

No kidding Sayyaaf? I thought you loved that white Panamera and it looked outstanding in all those photo's you shared with us. I bought a 550i xDrive and it goes like hell, I can't imagine what the M5 will feel like but congrats!

lol I wasn't kidding. Panny had to go. family is growing and it is limited to 2 seats in the back, plus dealer is killing me with stupid charges. So I had to let it go.

So we are not far from each other :)

Only a 150 horses or so separating our experience:icondrool That F10 M5 will go like stink........be sure to let us know how you like it and congratulations once again!

I want to see this in another colour, is it featured at the Detroit Autoshow?

Yes, it's there now. You can get into the 'industry preview' if you register online. Much better - no crowds and only a bit more $'s for the ticket. Definitely worth it.

That is probably a base, non air suspension and what not S right? The GTS is actually a better buy than a S though money wise. To option up a S to GTS levels, its like 117K.

M

It's $121,585 if you option out a 4S to the same level. Then you also don't get the 10mm lower suspension, the alcantara seats, the Turbo brakes and spoiler, the Sound Symposer, and of course the 430HP engine.

It's one heck of a deal if you want the options it offers.

Looks stunning I'd probably hold off till until the facelift to get a GTS. That is if I was in the market for one.
