X3/X4 [Official] 2011 BMW X3

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
Didnt like it at first but having seen the latest set of pics its started to grow on me. Dont like the interior though!

I have to say that, while I´m loving the M Pack exterior, all in white, the interior is just a complete let down to me. It´s not the E90 3er controls, wich are just OK, itñs the whole layout design that disapoints me, I prefer the X5 and the X1 ones.

BTW guys, it´s been confirmed that the new 3.0d will feature a 258hp engine starting with the X3.

That will prove to be very popular as it's both very economical and quite potent for a 'normal' diesel SUV. Heaven knows how quick the X3 40d will be when it's finally released.

the front is such a disaster while the rest are just mediocre.

just don't get how bmw can release such an ugly car after the stunning 7er, z4, 5er and etc..

guess x3 will always be the ugliest bimmer for me

Just a question, but do you think the GLK is the prettiest MB? And is the Q5 the best looking Audi?

I feel like it's very hard to compare a family car with a sporty convertible such as the Z4/TT/SLK. That's just my observation. :)

@ Scott27:

What happened to the key plug in the dashboard? Or are the models presented all with comfort access?

thx for your reply

that question made my lol too, i didn't want to include glk and q5 in my reply because it's an x3 thread after all.

but if you are really interested, i think glk is indeed one of the ugliest merc, whilst q5 is pretty but a bit dull (like other audis).

i used 7er, 5er and z4 for comparison simply because they are the most recent new bimmers prior to the release of x3 (as far as i can remember anyway). whilst it's not fair to compare sedan with small-suvs, both x5 and x6 (suvs) are great looking vehicles compare with this catastrophe.

You got it all wrong. Compare the new X3 with previous X3 and you'll see the new X3 is one good looking car ;)

of course the new x3 should be a better looking car than the previous gen x3 (which is 7 years old), it's a freaking redesign.

but back when x3 was first introduced in 03 or 04, i thought it was not bad, the car just didn't age well.

but i might change my opinion when i see the car in metal, which is the case for most bimmers.

:eusa_danc Thanks klier!

EDIT: I read the opinions regarding the X3's design/looks. YES, compared to the old one it looks great + YES compared to the direct competitors the new X3 looks even better! I just loooove the new X3, the more I see it the more I want it, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder - in this case it's my eyes and the like what they see!

As in the 7 and 5 series, the key just needs to be somewhere in the car to start it up, so there's no need for a key plug anymore. But, comfort access is still optional and needed for opening and closing the car without pressing the key buttons.

I love generic BMW;)

I do not like the fact that the Trim part (wood in this case) does not run from left door to right door - length of the dash as is the case with all BMW's.
It looks 1/2 done and not in line with...even a X1:D;)

This reminds me of Audi....and I hate to be reminded of Audi:t-banghea (There is a comparison pic in this thread between the Q5 and new X3) Nasty BMW!!!

You wouldn't have a complex would you with a statement like that. :D

I don't see much of a similarity between them, so I think you can calm down.
