X3/X4 [Official] 2011 BMW X3

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
Double woah! New X3...

There's too much GCF going on today and I have a pile of work to dig into... Just awful. Why must the news come all at once! Today is huge.

It's hard not to come out looking great after the abomination that was the X3 - On its own, this X3 looks really good... that aside, it's sorta amazing how standard-issue the front-end design is... It's so up-the-middle and perfunctory it's almost un-BMW'like.

I don't think we're appreciating how much 'swoopage' there is on the flanks of this thing. I think the effect could be very impressive in person, in the right light and colors.

All in all it's a sausage in a different length that I would love to drive. The outgoing X3 looks like an instant antique.

I can't wait to see new X family pics with the X1, new X3, X5 FL and X6 all next to eachother.....such an amazing SUV line-up :bowdown:

Once more I much prefer the standard styling over that of the Sport Package. Just like I do with the outgoing X3, current X5 and F10 5er.

Tell me 10 differences between X3 and X3 Sport Package:

The X3 xDrive35i goes from 0 to 100 km/h in the same time than the SL500: 5.4 sec.

..and i wonder what'll happen after that.;)

So the X3 35i has the same time as 750li and X5 TT V8,nice.:D

I must say that visually the new X3 is a feast for the eyes. It's camo did a wonderful job of hiding those amazing lines. Though I don't think the inside is quite as beautiful.

I take back my intial reservation about the X3's looks. Easily the best looking of the class. The new pics shows off the car's lines and surfacing the earlier pics didn't do. BMW really needs to do a better job putting out the best pics first.

I'm really turning into an old fart.

Don't fret Martinbo. The Sports package styling just hasn't been up to scratch.

As with all new BMW's I'm a bit divided in my thoughts on the X3, so I'll wait until i see it in the metal. It's far better than the old one, which is a good place to start.

That's not the way design should work: asking the customers, what the liked (on their cars) in the PAST! BMW should be thinking what customers would like in the FUTURE. And the headlights are just horrible. This in conjunction with the too steep grill makes the car ugly when viewed from 3/4 angle.

The car get's 8/10, actually 5/10 taken headlights/grill in account.

I agree with your assessment on the headlights, however I beg to differ on the influence of the customer.
As someone that is in the business of satisfying customers, I believe you ignore them at your own peril.

Good to hear. A lot will have the same. The new X3 is truly beautiful, I have no other words for it. I like it more than X5.

the front is such a disaster while the rest are just mediocre.

just don't get how bmw can release such an ugly car after the stunning 7er, z4, 5er and etc..

guess x3 will always be the ugliest bimmer for me

Join the club. Though I don't think it's an age thing, just you have better taste than most.
