M3/M4 Offical: Production E92 M3

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
I guess this is the real deal. The rear is monsterous, I love it, still warming up the front. Other than that I think the exterior colour, rims and interior colour choice is awful. An important car like this can be presented much better.

yep the rear is really nice in this version..lovin it

from some angles it looks so damn hot..and then some it looks wierd..
but thats the case with most new cars..
so i think i will like this car all in all..when i see it in person:D

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!! that thing looks SICK!! I feel like a 12 year old girl at a Justin Timberlake concert!!!
Those painted rims are awesome!!! The carbon fiber roof...THE CARBON FIBER ROOF!! THE DIFFUSER!! AHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA.

Honestly...I'M F__KING LOVING THIS!!! Damn...2 more years and this baby will be mine!! (hopefully..LOL :D)

Notice how they still haven't showed the interior? There is still a lack of pictures for the steering wheel, shifter, center console, etc...

Every exterior line is insisted upon, except for the fussy undercarriage, and even there it makes some good arguments. that is what I see when I view this car, and compare it to let's say a g37. There the lines are suggested, there is not the tension of a Dino ferrari, saying that I was made this way because I break the other ways. A series 1 M3 has it. And it's good to see it back again.

yea-i know what you mean. The sharp lines across the body all scream performance. Their is no assumption, only purpose in the design. The shape, the details, all seem to be there for a reason-a reason that might include eating RS4's for breakfast. :icondrool

wow and ppl complain about plastic in the C class..
hmm this is an M3 for gods sake.. something better than this was expected..

Here ya go::D

My bad...I meant the one with the other transmission in it...you know, the ZSG. :D I want to see how the shifter for ZSG is going to look like...like the current SMG shifter or more like the new X5 shifter. :t-cheers:

This car is indeed an evolutionary car from the old E46 M3. There are certain things here and there that have changed, but overall, I think the car is great and truly a marvelous piece of work that is a testament to BMW's history, philosophy, and future goals. One thing that I have noticed is that, while BMW is gaining brownie points with me in the exterior section--considering that at one time I complained about the lack of aggressiveness in the exterior of their cars when Audi seemed to be exceling in this department with the RS4--it seems that now I find myself wondering about the interior and whether the look of it is worth the money. Look at Audi's interior, especially in the RS4, and you will notice a very interesting interior, with a lot of things being offered. I don't know if it is BMW's philosophy in the console being driver oriented--which would not seem so since they have deviated away from this, hence the center console actually being leveled off instead of pointing towards the driver--has continued to put as many things as possible into as many buttons and features as possible, but I think, at times, the interior is rather plain.

So this is the real deal here. All in all, this truly is one of the weakest presentations ever.
A few things are bugging me here, and this is coming from a die hard BMW driver.
The wheels look nice yet seem so tiny, for pete's sake they really do look like 15 inchers , what gives? I hope that this is something that will look better when we get to see the car IRL. And BMW seems to be aware of this with 19" readily available as an option.
The M treatment is very reminiscent to that of the M6 which many agree doesn't look aggressive enough. The hood bulge could have been a bit more discrete but I guess with darker color it may suit it better.
The mirrors are actually horrific :t-crazy2: and look like Lego parts. They look like those of an e36 M3, sorry BMW but those mirrors are just
As for the interior, for lack of better word, it looks to Spartan, yet i don't know whether this is a good or a bad thing. I guess BMW got people accustomed to innovation with every new product it releases and people get somehow let down when something evolutionary rather than revolutionary is presented.
Despite all of this, I'd buy one without any second thought. Why ? Because nothing can touch it. Because it's an M3 and thats enough for me

What's up with the interior? Are the trim areas plastic? In this photo it almost appears as though those areas are leather-wrapped.

Speaking of the interior I never really expected it to noticeably differ from the interior of the regular E92 but come BMW atleast piff it up a bit. This is almost as wack as the M6 presentation. The interior looks like the interior of a bare 318i. On the other hand there is no need to nagg too much about the interior because with some cash you can get it in any combo you like. Compared with the RS4, there really is no competition in the interior department.

The interior is really under-whelming. But I must admit I never liked the 3'er (E90 and 92) interior to begin with.
About the exterior, it's good but I'm not getting that impact that you should get from a 'special' car. Not that there's anything wrong with the design right now per se but it just seems too simple -- something like the M6.
Also, the 4.8 s 0-100 just seems like BMW's plan to maintain the status quo -- 4.6 - 4.7 - 4.8. In the end I wouldn't be surprised if this M3 ended up faster than both of them.

I think the wheels are a HUGE let down, especially after the "concept's" lovely BBS wheels. The color is interesting, almost looks like Indianapolis Red, but something tells me it could be something totally different. The interior (IMO) looks like CRAP, there's not emotion or character in it, we don't even get Carbon Fiber trim, just some lame simulated look leather (I know it's real, point is it doesn't look special). BMW really set us up for a let down with the concept, now this. RS5, I'm waiting....

From the article:

Weight stands at 3483 pounds, according to BMW, an increase of 70 or so pounds over the outgoing model, but we’d say the extra 81 hp more than makes up for the excess fat.

Nice one ///M :usa7uh:

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
