M3/M4 Offical: Production E92 M3

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
"Weight stands at 3483 pounds, according to BMW, an increase of 70 or so pounds over the outgoing model..."

Compared to the 4-door, All-Wheel drive, Sedan that is the RS 4, which weighs 3637lbs, that ain't bad. And the M3 will probably take care of it on the track.

As for the wheels, they are already 18", what do people want? These aren't exactly small even though they might look like it. Tons of people will opt for the 18" instead of the 19" for performance and ride comfort.

Also, do people still think the rear is ok? The bumper is taken straight from the M3 Concept.

Doesn't the E46 M3 have 19 inch rims?

Overall I like it but looking at the new and old side by side the old car's design seems more cohesive, less of a hodgepodge of different styling elements. Yes the wheels look small, but that is because the new 3 coupe in general is chunky looking car to start with, the M treatment only heightens this effect. This car is going to be a monster though and of course I'd want the cabrio version.

Seeing the latest pics makes me forget about the hood bulge... so I'm starting to fall in love with it!

Yes. Same as the E92. Standard 18, 19s optional.

As for the rear Warot...I think it's more than ok  HArd to tell any differences from the concept though. They look exactly the same side by side....:t-crazy2:

This car is sex.
I actually like the fact that the wheels are only 18 inches.. WHy? Because that way the tires arent as low profile. More rubber=more grip, plus in most cases a better ride. It isnt like the wheel wells arent being filled. Additionally those wheels look really light weight-and the less rotating mass the better-plus less unsprung weight the better. It looks damn good in all respects. We need mores pics of the interior. I agree that from what we've seen it looks a bit bleak. However we know that the 3 coupe has a great looking interior with the right options filled-so the M3 couldnt be any worse.

I havent seen a single post from Eni or Scott regarding these new photos showing a red M3? Why?
Is this wholet hing just a big hoax?

It can't be. Those pictures look at legit as the dollar bills I have in my pocket.

but where is eni and scott, they reply on everything regarding new bimmers but nothing about the red M3. Nothing is legit if I dont hear anything from them ;)

haha^ thats what i was thinking. Maybe they got wacked....

"you know too much!"

BTW jeff, isnt it like 5am for you??

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
