A8/S8 Next Generation Audi A8 (D4) Spy pics & info.

Bad for you 'cause it ain't a chop. :eusa_thin

To me it definitely looks like chop based on a spy pic. Just take a look at the side mirror. There are no reflections like on the side of the car. It's a chop unless the car will have side mirrors with special matte-paint.

Hopefully someone can translate the article that comes with the images so that we can get to know what's going on.

That can not be it..
I refuse to belive it

Denial is the first thing that hits you, I've been there too brother, I understand. Some of you might remember my initial reaction when pictures of the new A4 leaked. I claimed they were bogus which they weren't. Autobild are very credible when it comes to leaking images, although the side mirrors do look suspicious.

These images are real. Autobild leaked similar pictures of the Panamera, new E and new 7er. This is the car and my worst nightmares have been turned into reality, it freaking looks like an enlarged A4. Absolutely horrendous, I expect more masculine head lights without those feminine LED DRLs.

Audi's chief designer has lost his mind and need help finding it.

These may well be true pictures or digital manipulations.
But rest assured whoever sold these images to Autobild would make sure that the magazine manipulate them so that the source cannot be traced.
By means of airbrushing , adding shadow to the bodywork and making sure there are no reflections in the glass.

Interesting to see if Audi will respond to this like Renault did or indeed BMW when first prototypes of the 3er cabrio , PAS and 7er were leaked to AMS. And send in the Law and do some spring cleaning.

If it is real the automotive media will not be kind.:eusa_doh:

audi seriously needs to develop the single frame concept further, thats not working for another generation.

i guess the same people that have changed from 7series to the A8 in the last generation, are now coming back home

btw. can't someone just stop autobild doing these leaks ? i mean its good for us, but definitly not for the (whatever)brand. haven't they arrested 2 journalists in france, because of the megane pics.
showing spypics that early is far from being good

I hate it so far..
Like luw said the optics are feminine i hate the feminine optics Audi´s like the R8 and A4..
I was expecting something masculine like the A5 or RS6...
And then its that damn grill
Comeon audi..it looks like a giant fly smacker...

I guess that explains all the creative art work like the background and absence of any reflections on the body work. The dude probably sold the pictures and used the money to lay down a deposit for the S400 Hybrid.:razz::razz::razz::razz:

If this is the real deal, Audi has a serious problem with their design. Starting with the side profile, wich is exactly the same as the A4 one, and ending with the entire front. The front lights are a crime against the design.

The interior lines also apear to have lost a lot compared to the current model ones.

Ha ha , the chop Autobild made is hideous. It won't look like that. Not even close.:D

I still remember the aweful GCI they had made for A5...:eusa_doh:

Have you seen the real thing Yannis? I'm asking because this doesn't look like a chop to me. it's slightely retouched a photo of a/the real A8.

Exclusive A8 (exterior & interior) pics ... by Autobild

It looks like an enlarged A4 ... :eusa_doh:
Interior is a pure evolution of the current one.

while it is certainly possible for the new a8 to look something similar to this. but it is VERY CLEARLY a chop, just take a look at the headlight, it's straight off of the r8 v12 concept, the light housing don't match with the metal crease at all, the wheels are in different resolution as to the rest of the car body.

like some of you already stated, this is most likely a cut and paste job of r8 concept headlight and some audi wheels on a spy shot.

i am surprised to find that so many of you claim this to be a candid shot while it is clearly not.

but i dont rule out the possibility that the real deal will end up looking similar to this knowing how conservative audi is.

just look at it, its the real thing
there have been done some reflextion tweaks(also agree with the wheels), but thats it.

autobild also leaked the Q5 quit early(some even said that it was photoshoped....)

I've already noticed that the lights are R8's, but still I'm almost 100% sure that it's a real photo.. as I said it maybe stlightly modified but it's a real photo of the next A8 or at least one of its final design proposals that were made in 1:1, which could explain why the lights, the rims and probably the interior were added afterwards to the photo, as it could -in its original form- could have shown a mock-up model.
It's doesn't make sence when Autobild does such a "shitty" chop to show a future model while they can do what they always do and show a high quality computer generated image.

This is not a chop. It's a slightly modified photo. whether it's showing the real thing or not is still to be found out.

True. When autobild leak images it not a joke. I can't recall the last time they lied to us about a leak.

^yep its not autolies..
Which i wish it was now..

Man lets break it down
We all know that these pictures are not 100% representative of the final product..but its damn near
With the E class due to the shady quality there are some issues.. but you can find MANY MANY good things in that Autobild E class

But this A8.. well it just makes me sad.. so very very sad..

Relax guys the new Facelift current A6 is the new A8 ...
Classic Audi design (even if the taillights are a bit wrong)

But I gujess it's the same with the A8 as the new Mercedes SL ??

..........

I still prefer NevadaJack's car instead of the new but
the new are growing on me every second..

;)

No i haven't seen the real thing but i also notice that the front light has "imperfections" meaning the gap between the light and the bumper is too big to be the real thing. That makes me think that it's a spy pic that has been photoshopped.

I also think so, i believe the original photo has the whole front covered and they photoshpped it based on solid informations like sketches or photos of the final 1:1 Clay model.

I hope this is not it. It looks more like a Chinese imitation of a really Audi.

had a look at the mag today(didn't buy it, i'm not supporting this crap)
that photos are for real, there are 2 different perspectives of the front in it and also one of the rear. but you definitly see that some stuff is edited with photoshop, that this is limited to all wheels some reflextions and the LED lights. evem the interieur looks real(but better). it has a very high shoulder line, very comparable to the new 7series

What about the rear?.

I find a big mistake put it a high shoulder line for a handles that are not included on it.

just had a short look
can't remember everything
its simply nothing new
lights > old A8 style with new A4 technology
the over al car looks better then i first thought, but still not what i expected

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
