E-Class (W213/C238/A238) Next E-class on a Severe Diet

The Mercedes-Benz W213 is the fifth generation of the E-Class range. It succeeded the W212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models (C238/A238) share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. Production: February 2016–2023. Model years: 2017–2023.

If Autobild is correct, and it usually comes close with its renderings, then the next E may not have the four eyes face.

EDIT: Actually, Morrison; that's exactly what Autobild is claiming. They are saying that the E facelift will debut in 2013 at NAIAS and will be radically updated in the front, no longer featuring a four eyes look.

I figured it might come sooner or later. (It`s still a rumer though.) Yep, it looks like the f/l of the currect model.

Oh, I thought this thread is about the next NEW MODEL of E class, the one that should appear around 2015-2016. For a facelift that would be nice. I can`t wait to see an E class without it`s classical 4 eyes front end.

Bah, as if it was the front end the bad looking part of the W212...

Talk about imalanced. Looks like a bad chop/Mashup. Not to mention, they replaced the Pontoon hump with something terrible... just the top half of the same Pontoon hump but they took off the whole bottom and middle portions where it slants and curves downwards. Now it just looks like some odd small straight line right underneath the main character line, giving a very cluttered look over there.

this should be the design MB trying to align with their new S-CLASS W222 and upcoming C-class, not that bad looking but the bumper look kinda weird.

I think the elements of the new front-end design. But the render is grafted onto the current E-Class and does not looking very convincing. I'm sure the new design will be better than the current one.....................well, it has to.

Better then the current one that wont be easy ...I think the current E is a masterpiece in terms of design my own view..

I respect your view. But i think the current E Class is a truly awful design that already looks ugly and dated. If I could, I would have hauled the designers responsible in front of a firing squad. Both the designers of the Car's interior and exterior, that is. They have no right of designing another automobile.
