E-Class Next E-class on a Severe Diet

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in various engine and body configurations. Produced since September 1953, the E-Class falls as a midrange in the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five generations.
After all this car is definitely longer from C of the class and to it these wheels, it cannot be Black Series...

Very cool. Love the new shape of the rear window. Like the CL, and S-Coupe.

Hate the potential of non-LED lights.

It will be very interesting to see whether people can differentiate between all their sedans now..... they will all look fairly similar.

Have I missed anything? This is just a longer and wider C-Class. Which probably means a 4-door coupe version of the C-Class in on the works.

could be anything. The front is C63 AMG, the back is normal C class, probably 17 inch wheels, wider stance. But it is interesting that we have not seen some spy shots of the new E class yet. BMW 5 series has been testing for some time now eventhough the current version was introduced after the current E class.

Would it not be the first time that a carmaker use a car from an other range for a mule? I believe by now I have seen always mules with the body from the predecessor. But nothing is impossible.

It depends on how closely aligned they are in conception, that it is possible to use existing mechanicals over a be-spoke body.
