R8 Next Audi R8 Facelift Exposed in Unofficially Official Photo?


The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car, which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG in 2006. Production ended in the first quarter of 2024. Production: June 2006 – March 2024 (45,949 Units), Model years: 2007–2024
^Hot. One of the few things I don't like about the R8 is the christmas light LEDs. So I would love it if it looses them for ones that look more like a solid line

But instead, they make the grille look like a Christmas tree?

Either way, I don't even think the R8 needs a facelift. It looks highly modern and exclusive irl, still....

The Audi R8 is set to get a mid-cycle facelift and our spies have managed to catch a prototype while testing the updates. As you can see in these pictures, changes will be minor with the only visible modifications being the full LED headlights, a slightly revised front grille as well as remodeled taillights. Power will once again be generated by the existing V8 and V10 units, however, we expect to see a few extra ponies generated from the base unit. Reports have indicated the 4.2-liter V8 engine will produce 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp) whilst the 5.2-liter V10 will pump out 540 PS (397 kW / 533 hp). The R-Tronic transmission system is also expected to be replaced by a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox. The new Audi R8 facelift is scheduled to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.

I just saw this. It's going to be while before I find out what this car is like with a DSG.
 
^ And knowing how much better S-Tronic is compared to the old fashioned R-Tronic the FaceLift R8 will be even more cracking to drive than before.

I didn't care much for the R-tronic even in full auto,on the other hand all my experience with the DSG have been great,in my opinion one of the best in the business.

Couldn't agree more with you, DSG/S-Tronic works seamlessly in either auto or manual mode and from my experience is right up there among the very best..... possibly the best.

Yeah they've had a long history in motorbike but they're a pretty new introduction into cars. We'll probably see more and more brands making the switch in the near future.
 
It has R8 GT exhasut tips. LED headlights should look good when on.

Is it just looks or there is some proven benefit, "FFF"? I don't think I have seen such brakes on race cars.

Thos rear lights are HOT!

Not sure about the front lights yet, but you dont see that much though.

But lets face it. After the sick A6, A7, A8 and A3 full-LED lights, I bet Audi will go for it big time on the facelifted R8 lights. Cant wait!
