911 (992) New Porsche 911 GTS Range (992 Series)

The Porsche 992 is the eighth generation of the Porsche 911 sports car, which was introduced at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles on 27 November 2018. Production: 2018–present

^The GTS without the ugly hood vents looks much better to me than the GT3.

Call it what you want, but I really wish Porsche would offer the GT3 engine (even detuned) in a GTS like more livable package. Rear seats, sound insulation, softer suspension etc. Best chance might be a Carrera T with the GT4 engine.

I doubt that Porsche will offer the GT3 engine in the GTS. The 991 GTS was badge engineering. A Carrera S with a 30hp power bump with a couple of options thrown in.

The 992 GTS is a genuine variant with strong mechanical differentiation from the Carrera S. Those who want a family friendly super car can look towards the GTS which has Turbo derived suspension while the GT3 is unapologetically a race car for the road with its RSR derived suspension.

However the GT3 has another 7-10 years ahead of itself. I wouldn't rule out suspension tweaks at LCI, additional variants or limited editions that target more niches.

The 992 GTS has precious little mechanical differentiation over Carrera S; no different to 991.1 or 991.2 GTS models.

The articles I have read and videos i have seen conclude this is more differentiated vehicle from past versions. Tuned and fitted to be closer to the Turbo and GT3. Border line too stiff for a DD. In fact, the HP is really close to the GT3 and the Torque is considerably higher since it isn't an NA engine. The value is also that you get a nice package of options at a "bargain" price (at least for Porsche)

Good Heavens-how I absolutely despise monochrome black rims on anything other than commercial vehicles and rat rods.

Black rims on a 911 GTS is de rigueur. Actually, this one's quite a tidy spec (yellow PCCB calipers matching the yellow body) work save for that horrible black rear arch guard again.

I'm imagining a GTS Signature 5-spoke rim based on the 992 Heritage version-but with matte black spokes with the contrasting thin silver rim lip. A bit 1970s' Fuchs-style.

This...with matte-black spokes:

I realize that black cars are a pain in the butt to keep clean, however that one pictured above is just gorgeous!

I got a PTS allocation for September GTS rwd manual coupe.

i cant make a decision. Rumors saying that the .2 GTS will be NA , if it is I’ll regret it.

also I’m cross shopping with a GTC4 Lusso..

it’s been 1,5 summers since I sold the panamera and I can’t take it anymore I need a proper car.
