Your welcome. I only wish I lived in New York now, but it won't belong before I see it at Detroit and then again in Chicago.

Takes some pics if you can and let us know what you think!

Absolutely :usa7uh:
I’ll be the only one taking pictures while everyone else is trying to get to work on time. Good move by MBUSA if you ask me. All the business executives and people who can afford this baby do pass by Grand Central Station on their way to work (lots of Maybachs & Phantoms around that area)

I’m surprised MBUSA is putting it on display to the public this soon though. Maybe they really felt the heat from everyone criticizing their new design approach. (wheel arches & such). But like you said earlier, they’re getting ready to launch it, so they need all the attention they can get before Detroit.

Yeah the S-Class is a big deal so I can see why they're pitching it in a spot like Gand Central. The CLS, SLK, R, and M are one thing, but a new S is something much more important, it must be a hit. I think it will be. Once people see how much better it drives and the better build quality they'll want one, even some of those that had defected during the W220 era. Now if they can make it reliable and post at least average reliability in the surveys they'll really have a hit on their hands.

I can't wait to see the new CL. I have such big hopes for it because the current model is Mercedes design at its best imo.

Oh well….
I went there today, there’s no sign of the new S-Klasse. :t-banghea

Apparently the event was held from November 8th to the 10th honoring the S for reciving that Popular Science award. I should have read this on the "What's New" section of the MBUSA website (http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container.jsp?/models/future/sclass/index.jsp)

I did a quick google and found this picture from a blog though.
Looks like you’re gonna see it before I do Marcus :D

Thanks for the pics. The only thing I don't like is that the headrest and DVD screens aren't a one piece unit like on other cars. I'm sure Mercedes has some engineering driven reason for this, but it looks funny. I can see someone breaking that headrest from the base.

The detailing looks...dare I say Audi-like. Can't wait to see this car in person, in a little over a month!

Those are comfort headrests thats why they look like they do...

Yeah, only the A8 (and particularly the S8) interior is even nicer. I do prefer the S class's aluminium (or aluminum for our US members) switches though.

I guarantee you the AMG versions will also replace the wood with CFRP - just like in the S8.
