The storage space below the central rear air con outlet looks cheap, like early 2000s Korean car cheap.

Much like in the W223 the four-zone climate control is a must in the W214. For the price Mercedes is asking for, the W214 should come at least with three-zone climate control as standard.

Fear not Psych, the new W214 E-Class is finally in American dealerships according to a Reddit user that posted pics and the $82k window sticker and BenzBlogger on Instagram. She claims to have 5 in stock.
Yup, I had some time to kill after work and the local dealer is on the way home for me so I stopped by. I was very much surprised to see the new E there since I was not expecting them till April.

Yeah, I can also confirm that $82K for a 4cyl E350. Nonetheless, a gorgeous, thoroughly well-proportioned car. I had the opportunity to sit in one that was $76K without the Superscreen, and I found it preferable to the $82K with the Superscreen.

Those prices are not sustainable. What is a loaded E450? 105K?

Wouldn't be surprised.
I think the E450d starts from £72k here in the UK.
I can scarcely imagine what the E53 is going to cost. Probably £90k.

They're probably going to benchmark the prices against the 5er.

I cant wait to have the chance to take the W214 for a test drive in upcoming months, as I am curious to see what improvements they made over my W213.

This is what no electric car on sale today can achieve.

1200km range when driving 160km/h on the autobahn!

Simply amazing long distance range.

To give an example of the distance this car can achieve at 160km/h while driving from Johannesburg to Cape Town. It can drive all the way to Worcester.

My longest trip of a day was 1313km (Albi - Granada). Fuel consume was 5,9l/100km.
Of course this was NOT nonstop.
YES, it was diesel with vegetable oil (OM601).

YES, I believe in electric only. A real range of 550km (90-10%) is enough :)

Everything else is sentimental memory.

BTW, this S214 with the powertrain and akku of an EQB250+ would be MY car :D
