P72 revealed as 1960s-inspired supercar
Dramatic P72 is first From Tomaso production model in,,, carbon carbon carbon carbon carbon carbonfibre monocoque chassis.

The story of the De Tomaso brand is far less widely known than brands such as Ferrari. After moving to Italy to become a Formula 1 racing driver, Argentinian-born Alejandro de Tomaso founded his eponymous firm in 1959.

The company's long history includes developing F1 cars for Frank Williams and owning Maserati from 1975 to 1993.

New general manager Ryan Berris claims "Alejandro's journey was never properly told and we feel his name should be recognized by greats such as Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini".

I can add that it is a very original and unexpected design.
The craftsmanship of the interior that is inspired somewhat by Pagani another Argentinian, does not stop being extremely beautiful

Form greatly usurps function - visibility and accessibility look to be severely compromised
Overwrought interior detailing [and you thought a Pagani's interior was OTT]
All in all just another wildly conceived, to be ill-fated, pipe dream

I quite like the shape and the drama it brings, nostalgic as it may be. What's been missing from the Italians of late are an emphasis on curves. I could do without the excessive rose gold. I mean, I know we're in a new Gilded Age, but this is little too on the nose.

All that said, even if I had Jeff Bezos money, I don't think I'd be one of the 72 convinced to buy it. The NA Ferrari-sourced V12 is appealing, but I'd be too paranoid to even nick what is essentially a piece of rolling art. I'd rather spend my imaginary fortune on something not so precious when it comes to cars.

It doesn't look like the original Pantera, but each one has a unique appeal. I like the modern interpretation of the classical Italian sportscars of the 50's and the 60's. I'm thinking Ferrari P racing series and Lamborghini Miura, for example. I like what I'm seeing.

Strangely, this one looks like it inspired the new Pantera...

This car has very sensual classic looks. Its curvy body reminds me of many classical sports cars and racing cars from the 1960's and early 1970s. It's a big head turner and is more desirable in my opinion than many of today's supercars. The interior is a work of art with its hand crafted components, its beautiful and must be a great place to sit in.
