De Tomaso De Tomaso P72

De Tomaso Automobili Ltd. (previously known as De Tomaso Modena SpA) is an Italian car-manufacturing company. It was founded 1959 by Alejandro de Tomaso in Modena. The De Tomaso brand was acquired in 2014 by Hong Kong–based Ideal Team Ventures and in 2019 the newly formed company presented their first product, a retro-styled sports car called the De Tomaso P72.
Just listen to that engine OMG

Yes, but that's not the engine the P72 will come with. That is a V12 out of a Ferrari F12.

Looks sublime if it actualizes.

That's a big question at this point. Capricorn, which was developing both he P72 & P900 has stopped all work on both as De Tomaso stopped paying them back in December. Also work never started on the factory at the Nurburgring that De Tomaso announced they were building a couple years back.

Capricorn? Now that's a name I've not heard of in a long time. Shame what's occurring.

Wow what a tragic story and a waste to bring back the De Tomaso name. The P72 was a beauty and hoping someone will finance this to bring it to production.

What a pity, with so much crap going into production, these traditionally branded masterpieces sometimes fall like many highly complex businesses.

I would be surprised if something eventually doesn't get produced. The car has basically been fully developed by Capricorn at this point.

Well. That's actually quite exquisite. Whst colour is your Detomaso?

is that the gas/petrol cap placed on the center of the hood/bonnet? As aesthetically-pleasing as it is, it must be pain in the arse filling it up while trying not to scratch that gorgeous paint.

Wake up babe, P72 update just dropped!

That is brilliant news. I love this De Tomaso P72. It is one of my favorite supercars at the moment. One of the only cars to challenge the senses and visual brilliance like the Pagani.

Here's couple of pictures from when the V12 powered prototype was lapping Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on slicks during GT1 Sports Club track sessions.

Looks like they used the same wheels as Apollo IE during testing. These two cars share the tire setup for the road (265/35 R20 - 325/30 R21) and the track only use (27/68 R18 - 31/71 R18).

Here's a comparison between the sequential shifter from prototypes, the new manual and a Pagani Utopia manual.
The knob still looks absolutely huge.
