X5 New BMW E70 X5 official photos & info!

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

Eni can you please bring us new images of X5 in a different colour?
I agree. Can we see front shots of platinum bronze, mineral green, deep green, sapphire black, monaco blue? Thanks.

You know I can't. :D

But they will soon be available (e.g. in brochures, car configurators, etc).

Does anyone know if the exhaust on 3.0 looks the same as 4.8i or different? The E53 has diffferent.

The prices of options are outrageous! :eusa_doh:

Yep, expensive options are just a Germancar tradition. Porsche being the master of this followed by Mercedes, BMW and Audi in that order. It can't be helped...:t-hands:

The fact that they draw direct comparison to all their competitors twoards the end of the brochure is very interesting. I'd love to read over the copy and see what their angle is.

Looks like they're quite confident with the new X5, they even show the competition in the catalogue...:

Thats pretty normal stuff for the brochures that salesman receive. I remember MB's CLS brochure for the salesman and they did the same thing.
bmw's, jag's audi's and others were all included.

klier: I dunno if this is new but I've already seen in BMW's catalogs comparisons with its rivals .. btw I don't think that is the "commercial" catalog, I think it is the salesmen catalog since they need to know about the competition ..

You you're right, it's not new. I even have a 6er catalogue here with the competition. It's indeed used to inform the dealerships about he competition if a customer asks "why would I take a 6er over the CLS?"

Totally forgot :drink:

All luxury German SUVs in one shot, nice.

Yeah this has been a common practice for years regarding dealership materials. I remember years ago when I first saw a VHS tape on the advantages of the W140 S-Class vs the BMW 7-Series and Audi A8 of the day. Then there was the salesman's guide on the W210 E-Class highlighting the advantages of the E compared to the Cadillac STS. No retail brochure I've ever seen has ever laid out the competition in the manner shown above, it would be a mistake if someone took a liking to one of those competitor pics.

The picrures on the rivals are pretty terrible compared to the X5 shot. :)
