Motor Trend: BMW 545 vs Infiniti M45 Sport vs Mercedes E500 vs. Cadillac STS V8.

The M45 looked good to me when it first came out but now it looks boring. That's the problem with all Japanese cars. Their designs are too plain and age quickly.

That's a year old comparison when the 530 still had the 225hp motor, not the 255hp motor

It's actually 9 months old.

The Bmw costs that much and only offers 255. That is a shame.

Looking at this says it is at least a year old. And the fact that issues come out before the month that is on the magazine means it is about 13 months old.

I will agree that the 530 with 225hp was overpriced.

Hehehe... Personally im not a brand fan, im open to cars. I like what i like, not by brand, strictly by looks performance, and overall reliability. I think the M45 is incredible, i saw it at the car show and was blown away by it.

Good man!:usa7uh:

true, but the Motor Trend magazine that I have that came with my Infiniti M brochure says May 2005. I can't post the mag only the link I went to the site and put in the search engine May 2k5 Infiniti M comparison and that is what came up.

the thing I do like about BMW is the maintenance program

Maintenance cost for 4 years/50,000 miles, whichever comes first:*
  • Brake Pads: $0
  • Brake Rotors: $0
  • Engine Belts: $0
  • Oil Changes: $0
  • Wiper Blade Inserts: $0
  • Inspections: $0

One thing I really like about BMW is this. The most interesting thing about this though is the fact that they started marketting this way into this program. I remember when my father bought a 2001 325i that the Maintenance was explained to us, but then (in those times) the advertising for BMW's didn't say anything about the brake pads, rotors, etc. this was something that you could find online or at the dealer but never in a commercial. So whomever came up with the idea of using what they already offered to get more customers probably got a really nice raise, although it was around for a while.

It seems that HALO wants to put a lot of stock in the 6 cylinder review in which the Infiniti has a clear power advantage but not a lot stock in the review where the car's power is more equally matched.

Well, the 5 has the sales advantage over the Infiniti to back up our opinion. I think the Infiniti is a good car, but IMO the 5 series is a better car.
