GLE Mercedes ML-Class SUV – W166 (Spy pics & info)

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.
This one is going to have much more sqare design Qs much like the new E and C-Class cars.

Love the chops.

GTA, I think you want every Benz to look like the E-class. Hopefully Benz won't have to many sharp angles like the E-class and GLK. That boxy look only works perfectly on the G-class.

I wonder if it will be a larger GLK-Klasse in terms of looks , the current car is still relatively modern , but what we have heard is that the next M-Klasse will receive two wheelbases alowing the poor selling GL-Klasse's demise.

I think you should check up your facts, or atleast look at GL sales..It has been a major Hit and seller for Merc, And took some of the Heat of the lack of sales from the R Class, as merc shifted Alot of R class Production for the GL Class....The Gl class in USA Has been selling only a few hundred cars less than the ML and averaging around 1800-2300 a month which is not bad at all as the GL is a very pricey Vehicle....

:t-cheers:

Oh you just know it`s going to happen, even the hood appears to have that overlap cut line into the fender. Just some of the latest design work from our favorite German car maker.
(Expect some of the square themes on the 2014 S-Class;))

Hmm...Like I said before MB can mess up it's whole line up, but the S-class must be perfect. I doubt that a retro W140 would bring MB the respect it deserves in this time period.

The M-class might go boxy, but I really hope not. The GL really is the perfect MB. I would prefer it follow those lines instead of the G-class, GLK and E-class.

Looks like another uninspired design for the ML. I was really hoping for squared wheel wells like the GLK and GL. And looks like they've retained that outdated humongous C-pillar. Yuk.

Does appear that they have taken slope out of the hood line, thank heavens. And have some proper mirrors.

The first-ever spy photo with the dashboard of the future M-Class:

Looks promising!Compared to the current generation M-Class, it looks that the dash of the W166 will be more exclusive and driver-oriented. A new COMAND system and controller are also on the menu. Plus a new and unknown 4x4 management system(see the controllers on the armrest).:D

Wow looks almost ready to go! When will this be presented? :t-hands:

Wow! The dash looks sturdy; modern and most of all luxurious and from what I can see much more expensive than the current gen! :usa7uh: I'm loving the new armrest!

Edit: What are those two large silver buttons for next to the handrest?

Reminds me on new Cayenne's dashboard...:t-hands:

Thought I'd seen something similar to that design recently. Both looks pretty good but the current X5 interior just looks that little bit more premium and elegant to these eyes. That ML interior looks more sports orientated than the X5.

FANTASTIC!!,That is a propper ML interior, the current one lacks of a bit more wood/alu in the dash.

Looking really nice i must say and it certainaly is a step in the right direction. The screen i think is a bit small though from the angle i see not shure and i hope they put a little wood around the armrest area like the new E..It also seems a bit crampier then the current Ml but maybe its the pics decieving me..

All in All its really looking a very nice interior and i am glad it has its distinctive touches and not a copy and paste off other MB interior.also it does look off ahigher standard then the current cars interior..

Hope the next Gl will have a slightly different interior and not a full copy like the current ML and GL..

Is it not too early to see such a detailed pic off the next ML interior or is this a MB mistake or marketing strategy..

Also something that i allways think about why cant we get a ML avantgarde and Elegance like we do on the E and C..

Like if a pesron wants a more regular and luxury he can take a Elegance yet if you want one with a more sporty or agrresive styling you can take a avantgarde...

Do anyone no if the ML will come with a & seater option or will that only be for a GL becuase i am intrested in a new ML if i can get the 7 seater option.
