I wonder whether M-B designers have pondered tapping into the archives of the Mercedes-Benz/Pininfarina cooperations for inspiration:

"New Sobriety" ("Die neue Sachlichkeit") replacing "Sensual Purity".

I would hope not, these don't look anything like a Mercedes and they're awful to boot imo.

Cadillac? I was thinking. W123 Mercedes but yes there is a lot of chrome on carlex cars.

Cheap and ugly. They're going to thoroughly ruin this thing. A Van will never be luxury and they know and accept it, despite their marketing team writing essays about how premium this Van is.

Should be perfect for hotels, airports and taxi companies though. None of these people care one bit about thicc bezels. And this car has no competition to begin with, so MB can afford to be lazy.

Well they still have the VLS above this. And if you kit those out well enough, they can be very plush inside for the passengers.
The big question is how the electromechanicals, suspension etc are set up to be actually luxurious.

(Mini) Vans don't exist anymore. Dead segment. This could have been a thing 25 years ago. This car belongs on the commercial side of the equation, imho. Between the trucks it'd be a luxurious alternative.

Those screens look cheap as hell. Current interior looks much more premium. They need to let go of this stupid full screen setup.
