Seems like they're sharing bodywork, but probably not the same architecture.

More like the opposite looking at the spy pics. Their own bodywork on the same platform, because the other way around does not make any sense.

I don't care either way, this whole A/CLA/GLA whatever line needs to die.

I dont think they will die anytime soon as they are the best selling models in the Mercedes range. A new A-class will also be coming in the next 2 to 3 years time.

Focusing on sales is the wrong approach IMO. Just build the best products and the sales will take care of themselves. Quality, tech, design, substance will bring buyers back in droves. Let the product speak for itself like the old days. Now the dealer situation needed fixing for sure.

Here we go.

At least in the USA, they know that they must fix the dealer situation.

How to Rule the US market again.

Increase the capacity of the V8s, increase the size of the GLS ( it’s a toy compared to an Escalade), bring back the V8 C63,E63,S63 without Hybrid.

Bring back the V12 G and SL, put it in the GLS Maybach.
Improve the interior of the W206,C236,R232,W223 and bin that shiny black plastic.

BTW,The sun visors of the current SL are made from cheap plastic and the mirror in it is without light.
That’s absolutely atrocious.

Can they nail the quality, price, tech, range and design? If so they have a hit, but I see an economy car that doesn't match the ICE C-Class in proportions. I do think that 2027 will be their year to actually regain some sales momentum.

I think this video has been posted already.

Have a look at the comments section, people are really annoyed from the CEO.

IMHO, the tech should be quite compelling. As should the fit/finish/material quality of the interior. Exterior design ? It looks a bit "safe". Sheetmetal surfacing (hopefully very clean) will be crucial as will be the choice of configuration, colors, rims, etc. It currently appears that the upcoming BMW i3 sedan will hit the ground running, hence M-B has quite the task at hand. As for Audi...no idea what they have up their sleeve regarding a segment BEV sedan. Hearing very little nowadays regarding an A4 etron sedan/Avant.

This thing looks totally different depending on the angle. Sometimes it looks hatchback-ish, sometimes like a regular sedan.
As for the design, it’s not the most interesting as it will look exactly like a sedan shaped GLC with the same graphics and all. Curious if these electric sedans are going to sell in general, since everyone wants the f*cking SUV’s only. Sigh.

It's a shame we have to wait until July, I thought March, I wonder if the i3 will come out sooner...

Is it a full glass roof like the lucid ? Or is that a black car ?

From above it actually looks nice but yeah we need to see the main front sides and rear
