Gone off track From the 'Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?' thread

Mercedes sold 19,007 cars last year in India, approximately 1% of the brand's global total, to roughly 0.001% of the population. There is considerable room for growth if the country improves.

Let's be real : India is not on the map for MB.

The gap between the rich , and the poor , is killing any possibility of investing .

19000 cars sold is peanuts for MB...

Yeah and when you look closely you see people shitting in every corner.
India is a borderline failed state.

Not in a million years
Great food though, if you can handle food poisoning, severe cramps and diarrhea for three weeks

Your opinion I just got back from a three week trip and I am perfectly fine ..

Your comments regarding India are pretty pathetic to be honest as a Indian person myself find your comments very rude

So this topic has been spun off. It's not the place for blatant stereotypes, especially if they're not based on personal experience...

That said, India is an interesting place. The Delhi Metro area is bigger than Poland, Mumbai Metro is bigger than the Netherlands, and multiple smaller cities are bigger than other European nations - population wise.

Given that the British Partition of India (which is insane to me as a British person finding out about this massive event from Ms. Marvel....(yep.. true story, no shit, no satire, no irony, I'm 47 and this MCU teen drama is where I first heard this was a thing) occurred within current life spans, it's a bit mental to me to think of India as failed state, rather than anything other than a developing nation crippled by colonial nations.

For me personally it’s one of the most exciting countries.

It’s interesting that people in India still love Diesel powered cars, I guess because the Diesel engine played a big role to build the country.
