Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

Now with the sl maybach as well, i wonder if merc 10 years from now will have an exterior maybach trim for every segment, meanwhile bentley is different inside out to any audi or rolls royce to bmw

The GT EV is going to be one of the most exciting EV's to be launched despite the convincing fake V8 sounds it will most likely be a great car to drive and give the Taycan some serious competition.

The baby G is going to look fantastic and surely will be a big seller for Mercedes Benz. I am guessing it will share its powertrains with either the GLB or GLC?

4 pot engines would cheapen the G brand name whilst an inline 6 risks cannibalising sales of the full fat Gclass.
I don't know about that. The big G will sell on the basis that it's a big G. People who want one, aren't going to settle for the little g because it has the same power train.
Besides the big G starts at an inline 6 (for now) and goes up to a V8.
The little G could be capped at an inline 6.

And who knows, if this new flatplane V8 is good on emissions, they might bring it back for the non-AMG big G

6 wouldn’t harm the sales of the big G, as you can see it’s way lower than the G-Wagon.

4 pot would indeed cheapen the G brand, I expect 1 4 pot 300 and 2 or 3 6 pot 450 and 53.

How small is it gonna be? Looks really tiny.
looks much smaller than I was hoping for. I remember seeing the back end of it in the teaser along with the cabriolet and the full size, and thinking it looked really small. Thought at the time that is was an optical illusion with they positioning of the 3 side by side but apparently this little G is in fact very little.

I wonder if it will steal from G sales. If it gets priced strategically I’m sure it will be a hit.

Didn’t they try this malarkey with the original GLK and then the GL? Like why?!?! People who want the G buy the G or are they going the Bronco route?

The GL and the ML before it were meant to replace the G. The GLK was just building off of the boxy looks but was in no way supposed to be a compliment to or supplant the G-wagen. This is the first time they've embarked on making a "baby G-wagen", complete with a ladder frame, to compliment the G-wagen.

So it wasn’t just me who thought about it 😉
