The new CLA is only an inch shorter than the W206 and is actually a little wider. Why not? CLA is tiny. This will be far roomier.
Östberg said Mercedes is also looking at adding more physical controls elsewhere in the cabin for future models – but this will most likely be kept to SUVs, as “in larger cars we have more freedom to package” and buyers of those cars “care more about buttons”.![]()
Mercedes to add proper buttons back to its interiors after launching its biggest screen ever | Autocar
German car maker admits "the data shows us physical buttons are better” despite its digital-focussed approach to interiorswww.autocar.co.uk
The whole range should benefit from this, not just SUV’s. Full screen layouts suck ass. Who the hell even mentioned iX3 mate?It looks more luxurious than the ix3. BMW designed an extremely simple cockpit.
Such a shame to be honest. I find the full screen layouts extremely distracting, some vehicles being worse than others. It’s all about how intuitive they are, but still. 2015-2019 era was the best for both Mercedes and BMW. Having a center screen while also keeping all the necessary buttons. They looked so much more elegant as well imo.Screens aren't going anywhere industry wide. All the suppliers are still pushing them and interior designers are finding more and more ways to captivate people with them. It's the UI and the seamless integration of them that will be the differentiating factor moving forward. This is why BMW and several other manufacturers are implementing them into the base of the windshield and some people like Mercedes are creating whole dashboards full of them. Next, we will likely see architectural implementations of them as costs come down.
Even if they do want to phase them out, they've committed to buying a supply of screens probably for the next 3-5 years.Screens aren't going anywhere industry wide. That’s ridiculous.
Batman would drive a fire breathing V8 with Sidepipes and 140dB straight pipes.
Not an EV with Vegan interior.
Currently the most Bad ass cars are the 392 Wrangler and the new ZR1 and Z06 Corvettes and of course the Mustang GTD, all of them with the US Exhaust.
The European Exhausts are ridiculously quiet.
As far as I know, the EU/USA Deal should allow the US Cars to be sold with the proper US Exhaust.![]()
What does this mean in real world terms?![]()
