Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

I mean, I don't think I'm wrong for liking the design of it.
I do think that they need a new front bumper design and a new design lead in general, but to my eyes it's not bad at all.
It's not offensively ugly like the iX or the EQE.
Funny enough, I found the EQE, and more specifically the EQS sedan to be not extremely fugly. The problem was the execution. If it only looked like the concept… Then it would be a winner.

My other controversial opinion would be the iX. I actually really liked it after seeing it in real life. We were struggling about whether to buy the iX or the i5, but ultimately chose the sedan, as we were bored with having SUV’s.

Aside from the grille treatment and the Mitsubishi logo lighting it looks like it could already be a generation or two old... but it looks fine to me, I don't find it ugly. Mercedes interiors aren't my cup of tea, but it's probably more inviting than the stark sparsity of the iX3 - and it's steering wheel is nearly round, so full marks for that.

I'll save my judgement until I've seen it next week in Munich. I appreciate the boldness of going back to the distinguished grilles of the '60s-'80s which were the pinnacle of MB design. I'm actually more concerned about the interior: I sat in the CLA and found the large screen having quite a plastic fantastic appearance. It's an easy choice between iX3 and the GLC EQ: BMW hit it right on the nail, MB not so much.

This screen is different than the one in the CLA, which is three separate units with plenty of bezel between them.

I sometimes want something different, which very often isn’t the best.

TBH.

That's why you love Mercedes ;)

It'll also probably save 50-60kg in what are already tremendously heavy vehicles.

BMW opted for not using rear wheel steering and air suspension for the sake of less complexity and less weight. Mercedes did the opposite by adding both I believe.

Curious about the weight difference between the two, and their overall efficiency difference as well.

I assume the GLC will also have great range. Expecting around 600-700 km

That’s why I love the G:love:, the live axle is terrible for the handling, and the car likes to tramline, and I am driving it only on the road, but the feeling is simply unique. I absolutely love it

The GLC will be as usual comfier then the iX3, probably that’s why they used the Airmatic.

I am also extremely curious about the weight difference.

What does 'the best' mean here?
The best looking?

Looking at what the three have to offer, I'd rather spend time in the Mercedes. And I think it's the best looking of the three. Not by much to be fair. They all look fine.
Bold choice. I think it’s the worst looking out of the 3. Audi looks so generic and boring but it doesn’t look weird like the GLC.

I can't agree with that, the GLC is much, much better than the Audi. The Audi is a lumpy, contorted mess of fat folds and bloated metal and plastic. I had to reverse image search it just to check it wasn't some kind AI abomination because I find it hard to believe Audi, a once sensible company, would put out something that is just such an absolute disaster.

The Q6 looks just fine to me. It never needed the split headlights and all the fuss on the front bumpers, but other than that, I don't find it to be ugly. Super safe and generic. Let's hope the new boss puts Audi back to the design game. TT Concept makes me really excited about their future. Cause right now they're just not on the same level as the other two.

The new i3 50 surprisingly is not overly heavy in my opinion considering it has a 108.7kwhr battery as 2360kg.

I would be surprised if the GLC EQ is heavier than the BMW as it is supposed to have a smaller 94,5kwhr battery.
