You are ignoring pics that clearly reveal regular placed door handles and focusing on other pics tht don't.
NOt trying to be snarky, but are you telling me you can't see this door handle?
Now I suppose it is possible that this is a faux handle, but I doubt it.

I'd shag Amy Winehouse for one of those pre-launch drives of the SLS at (of all places) the awesome Laguna Seca circuit.
Imagine, being one of the first to drive the most sporting Mercedes Benz in 30 years+ !
Muwahahahah! Yes, of course - the end to sleepless nights I tell you.And more importantly you can also find out how the door opens.![]()

Absolutely - I don't doubt it for a second. Sure we've seen CLK GTR's and DTM's but the former wasn't anything more than a race car with a Mercedes badge on it and the later was more body kit than leading edge technology.More so than the CLK DTM AMG coupé???? We'll see, but I doubt it.

. You could argue about the CLK GTR being more sporty, but then it was hardly a street car. And yea, I know they chopped the roof off of that one too.Absolutely - I don't doubt it for a second. This SLS with its M159 engine, torque tube-linked transaxle dual clutch gearbox, low CofG etc is, in my opinion, the sportiest, non-limited edition Mercedes Benz road car for as long as I can remember.
I saw a CLK DTM cabrio a few days ago on Nice Airport (France). Made around 20 pics of it, and will post later.
It's pretty damn hardcore and spectacular on the road!
I hope you guys are right about the SLS. Would be sweet if it really becomes as good as you make it sound!
Edit; I also have pics up close from the SL65 Black Series. Siiiiick

I'll just say this: the SLS's mechanical credentials already speak volumes for the anticipated capability of this car.

Does anyone know if this new gearbox is an in-house Mercedes designed/built unit or is it from the usual suppliers?
