These are some genius marketing moves by Mercedes-Benz. They slowly release technical details and drawings. Then, as if the hype wasn't enough, they show us the interior. Next, they tempt us by telling us that We can be the first to drive the SLS @ AMG driving academy. Finally, they let publications take pics and show the car with so little camo that it drives you crazy:D. Official pics better be shown soon, lest we go insane. :usa7uh:

Really nice high quality parts. Time to reveal the real deal though.

Really? That is it? What a mess. Looks like the biggest parts bin job I have ever seen.

Yup, exactly my thoughts as well.

Look at the position of the door-lock 'hook' on the door-sill kick-plate. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I'm sure it's necessary, but it just doesn;t look right.

Hopefully the money saved on the SLS's interior will go to the interior of the next SL.

The Mercedes design team hasn't come up with a nice interior since the CLS. They really need to work on this aspect.

Clean, premium and clutter free. I'm not complaining. I wish we saw more simplified interior designs like this, though it could use a touch more originality and style.

I quite like the interior. Very traditional in the older SL idiom (divine round vents I must say) and purposeful looking. This is a "get in and get on with it interior" and speaks volumes for Mercedes Benz' intent with this car. I have a feeling it won't disappoint.

I appreciate the fact that MB didn't try to do anything fancy with the navigation screen, like make it flip out or put a huge covering on it. I like how it just sits there. It's simple and well integrated.

Compared to lambo and a few other sports cars, it looks great. I can't even think of a bad MB interior. All of their interiors are top-notch IMO. The S-class is beyond beauty.

Take the interior of the new E for example. It's solid and the material used is of high standard. But it looks like it belonged to the 1990's. There is nothing inspiring about it. Borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring!

Audi, in contrast, just keeps on coming up with new exciting designs. The shape and contours of the surfaces, the combination of materials used, and the different styles on offer.

In my view, the recent Mercedes interior designs are solid and competent. But they are boring and a little like watching paint dry.

IMO, the new Audi interior are extremely messy, with no harmony. Lines, buttons, but no real flow. And the materials used are not very impressive, lots of silver plastic...

Whereas Mercedes comes with impressive interiors, very 80's inspired in terms of design, but of a very high quality.
My only concern is the W204, whose interior design is a bit lacking imo. I love the W212 E-Class' interior though.

To each his own...

Ladies and Gentlemen! We now know a bit more about the door handles. We don't yet quite know where they are for definite but now we definitely do know where they're not. ;)

I have been seeing nightmares with doorhandles the last week :D

Fookin S I C K looking thing. This car's going to look gorgeous and drive magnificently.
I love the upright windshield and what this does for driver visibility but I've also noticed that the angle of the rear windscreen is less vertical than I'd originally thought, so it's not going to be as boxy as I'd first expected.

agree

and now we can mirrors :D

they look good to me :)

and what a stance in first pic :|

Wow
The damn thing looks soo good!

Could it be that Mercedes will indeed come with a true successor of the Gullwing? I didn't thought so, but with the sweet technics and that increasingly gorgeous-looking shape...:eusa_pray

Door handles too are in the same place it seems...:)

I'm really starting to like the rear of the SLS. I love the way the rear lights will line up with the exhaust so perfectly.
