The twin-clutch transaxle gearbox will be a completely new innovation for Mercedes Benz:

- It will be their first dual-clutch transmission
- It bears no similarity whatsoever to MCT
- It is mounted in the rear-axle

I would expect that the transmission has been developed in conjunction with one of the dual-clutch specialist suppliers. I would be surprised if Mercedes Benz has the wherewithal to develop this gearbox from scratch.

They are checking the heated boot lid. For the times that your SLS breaks down and someone has to push it :D :D

Depends...Sometimes Benz...well you know Benz. Maybe 196mph.

On the other hand the SLR does 208 mph...I guess it's a possibility.

Mclaren aerodynamically limited the SLRs' top speed to 208 mph because they want to keeps the car firm and low. Also because the Michelins can't handle handle speeds much above 208. Had Mclaren did not limit the SLR it top speed will at least be 225 mph if not more. The Mercedes S65 and CL65 due to its excellent areodynamics (0.26) can reach a top speed of 213 mph when delimited. But at that point the ride gets very floaty and shaky (very surprising for a S-Class). The SLSs' top speed will be government limited top 196 just like the R8 V10.

I nearly fell out of my chair...I thought the whole car had been shown. I wont' be long now!!!
