SLK/SLC-Class (R172) Mercedes-Benz SLK R172 (spy shots and info)

The Mercedes-Benz R172 is the third generation SLK-Class (SLC-Class) launched in 2011. It is the successor to the R171. Production: 2011–2020.
Also, the screen and central A/C vents around it aren't centered properly with the center stack, which looks so poorly thought out, and so cheap-unrefined, especially for the masters of interior engineering.

The position of the screen is not centred by design so as to provide the best view for the driver.

If the screen is centred, then the driver's right hand would block the driver's view of the screen most of the time.

True, but that's still a half-arsed, and corner-cut way to design an interior. Surely, they could have designed the rest of the interior around it to allow it to be centered. Just looks extremely cheap and low-end in that respect. Still a great vehicle to this segment though, and the best SLK yet it seems.

C'mon now, I think we can all agree that a halfway decent interior should at least be symmetrical and properly aligned. I'm just trying to imagine my car with the A/C vents disproportioned from the head unit, and it's not a very nice conjured up sight, hehe.

I totally agree with you! They should have done a better job.

LOL @ everyone confusing a Peugeot with some secret-unreleased Benz. :D

Pretty sad really. But then again, the 207 doesn't get sold outside the EU I guess?
But still...

I´ve never had doubts about it, as I´m used to see those backlights on the road.

Lol, the biggest leak since E90 and you guys are talking about the other car in the video, but then again, from what little I can see the, SLK looks like total snoozefest.

What does this mean Sunny?.

The 207 is quite a nice car, especially with the prince engine!

:t-cheers:
I think the 207 is far from being the car the 206 was (and still is as it's still sold here as a new car). But still not a bad car for the price, that's right.

Why does anyone think it's a 207 for Gods sake?? :t-hands: What on earth would a peugeot be doing in a Benz ad, whether or not it was shot in France? And what's all this 207 talk doing in this thread as well?

MB have been known to show other upcoming models either disguised or at night in the shadows when shooting ads for imminent models. Why anyone thinks thats a 207 and possibly not the upcoming B class is beyond me. I could be wrong..
