SL-Class Mercedes-Benz SL facelift pictures...

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class (marketed as Mercedes-AMG SL since 2022) is a grand touring sports car manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 1954. The designation "SL" derives from the German term "Sport-Leicht", which translates to "Sport Light" in English.

Great find Vivaki! :usa7uh: Subtle changes, but they'll keep the SL looking fresh. Any suspension/drivetrain changes?

The front is an improvement but I really don't like the rear light. They remind me off the B-class.

Great find, there isn't a very big difference, the front looks a bit better but the rear lights look cheaper!

I am right in saying the F/L will bring the new V8s?

Thanks for the pics, Vivaki!

Yeah, not too bad, mainly because they didn't change much. Somehow, I'm almost liking the old one more - it's the 'pure', first incarnation of the SL's styling.

Current one looks much better the spoiler kit has a nicer shape on the current model.

The typical lights/bumper tweaks I see. Hopefully Mercedes will put more effort into the SL's interior. Of course the SL500 will get the new 5.5L V8 from the new S500 which will make it the bargain of the SL range imo. I mean a "base" SL (in the U.S.) with 382hp?! Then of course there is the upcoming SL63, but only MB knows what kind of hp it will have.

I really want Mercedes to get rid of that cheap hood over the instruments in the SL500, that has to go!

Sexy....I like that front spoiler change, more aggressive...the rear...guess the lights look better....I don't think it needed to be changed, already a classic....what needed to be changed was the interior...and....that new V8.....SWEET HEAVEN!

i really like it especialy in black,,, but they should've changed the grill a bit cuz it looks a bit old ...
thanx viviki nice find..

This facelift is acutally quite boring, they could have done more to freshen up the look, but I guess they feel that w/ their cars a small change in the shape of a headlamp would really ruin things for current owners, and in truth, it probably would. Roll on R231...

I don't think the facelift is better or worse. Probably just makes the car look fresher. I'm sure most of the improvments are beneath the skin, and hopefully the interior.

Really? I think they make the cluster instruments very sporty and special. It's a futuristic design, unlike those ordinary cluster instruments. Maybe some chrome rings would make it even better :D

My fault I didn't word that right. I want them to make it feel like the expensive piece it should feel like in such a car - not get rid of the hood itself. On the SL500 it is the cheapest piece of plastic imaginable. On the AMG models and the SL600 it is wrapped in leather or Alcantara.

Oh OK, I got what you mean. The SL500's does look a little cheaper compared to the SL600 or SL55 AMG. I'm sure they'll refresh the interior with the facelift.
