Now that the S550, S63 AMG 4MATIC and S65 are all official, the expected S600 rumors are being to swirl around the internet. The S600 is traditionally a ultra luxe S-Class with the highest levels of interior trim and a massive V12 designed for cross continental travel.

MB Passion a German Blogsite, claims that the S600 will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month. The rumor mill also indicates that the S600 will sport a 5.5 liter twin-turbo V12 generating more power than the previous generation engine that was rated at 517 hp. You can expect to see fuel consumption in line with a V8 from this new motor.

As it has always been, the S600 will be extremely exclusive and a car for someone who wants the very best without drawing attention on to themselves. Previous S600 vehicle have been used by various heads of state all over the planet.

The internal name of the S 600 will be 222.176, and the V12 engine of the type M277 is the 277.980 which will be offered together with a reinforced and proven 7G-Tronic PLUS (722.932).

The M277 is handcrafted at Mercedes AMG in Affalterbach.

MB and ZF leaked more MBC tech. And MBUSA added the S 600 LWB (222.176) in the Electronic Parts Catalog.
