I believe there will be "CLE63 S e-Performance" at launch in certain markets with the 4-cyl and regular "CLE63 S" with the V8.

This is no surprise. Now that is the question will the C and GLC 63 models get a V8 at facelift time. If the current C63 had any sales they’re definitely gone now.

Facelift time would be good to get C/GLC 53 with the M256 (if they can find the space for it) and the V8 63.
But honestly

That would be a dream come true but I can’t see it happening.

I was going to add "who knows" to the end there, but somehow forgot to finish the sentence lol.
But yes, it does seem like somewhat of a pipedream at this stage.

The GLC could tho since the I6 does fit. There is GLC400 in Europe I think?

Yes there is the OM656 3L Diesel.
Shame that it won't fit in the C class. Though given how short the M256 is supposed to be given it's lack of need for belt driven components, I'm not sure it's entirely impossible to squeeze it in there.

Remember this bad boy C55 AMG V8? If AMG can squeeze the V8 into that small engine bay, then definitely the W206 can fit in the M177.

I'm not really worried about the M177 cause its still roughly the same length as the M139 right?
Its more the M256 which would be longer. And its too good of an engine to not have in a C43/53.
Heck it can even be shrunk down to a 2.5L.

It's not out yet, will be next year.

They’re absolute fools if the introduce a 4 cylinder CLE 63 now.

It will likely be "CLE 63 S e Performance" at launch with i4, followed by a "CLE 63 S" with V8 a few months later.

The development cycle is so long, they may just be locked into the engine choice. It is indeed foolish to have a 53 with the I6 and the 63 with the I4.
