Maybe a new car today?

I am curious to know, does the charging station KW power values decrease during freezing temperatures below minus 10 deg C compared to warmer spring/autumn temperatures of 20deg C?

It depends on the battery internal temperature. The very charger is not influenced by the ambient temperature. Even the charging cable is better cooled at low temperatures so theoretically it can sustain higher loads for longer periods.

I haven’t used a public charger so far, only my charger at home, temperature doesn’t appear to be a problem.

More snow today. The A6 looks just right covered in snow.

Lovely. Thanks for sharing. I haven’t experiences that much snow since I was little and loved in Sweden.

I always like going to Sweden, it's like Norway but with cheaper prices for everything and friendlier people. I had a Swedish girlfriend for a while, she came from a small village about 30 minutes from Kalmar.

Yes. Norwegians drive across the border for cheaper alcohol in Sweden. Swedish people drive across the border for cheaper alcohol in Denmark.

Having grown up with roads gritted in salt and gravel + winter tyres, I am almost baffled by how unprepared the UK can be for snow fall.

We had moderate snow fall around London last month. First time driving my M140i in snow. Aweful experience struggling up hills and having to reverse down for detours while fiat 500 and skodas passed me without issues.

While in theory driving up hill should favor the traction of your front engine/RWD 140i ... as the dynamic load shift towards the rear achsle helps with the traction/increases traction ... while it is the adverse for FWD cars ... but this really needs a good amount of slope ...

In practise that theory goes out the window, I moved from RWD Mercedes C class and BMW 3 series to a FWD Volvo V70, it wasn’t even close the Volvo was so much better in snow and icy conditions.

Weight transfers to the rear under acceleration, nobody is accelerating hard in winter conditions.
