The Grand Touring Performance.:
1126 PS
900V architecture
0-to-100 km/h estimated at approx. 2.7 seconds
Price: estimated > 180K Euros for EU markets.
A very serious automobile.
I don't know why , but this sounds somehow sadistic...I like the 5 spoke wheels. My friend's Lucid still doesn't have all the features enabled and suffered a severe meltdown one day that required it to be towed from her driveway. Sounds like the service has been top notch though and super responsive.
I like the car more and more every time I'm in it though, I must say. Easy choice over a Model S. My Tesla-obsessed neighbor is even interested.
Was in the Lucid showroom in the Meatpacking District...
West is just too damn far. This was already 17 hours flying time. You keep going to the wrong coast!
Damn, I struggle with anything beyond 8.West is just too damn far. This was already 17 hours flying time.
This was a pre-production static demo. Interior wasn’t properly finished off. Weren’t allowed to sit in it as a result. Exterior-wise, fairly visually appealing but not as attractive in the metal as it is in pics, interestingly enough. It’s also pretty huge which counts against it, unfortunately.Damn, I struggle with anything beyond 8.
So what did you think about the Lucid?
Some serious quality issues with this car, but sure that Lucid will sort them out eventually.
A few thoughts on the Lucid from watching the Edmonds video:
Positive points:
Negative points:
- Sleek styling with excellent aerodynamics
- Spacious interior (E-class size with S-class interior space)
- Large boot and frunk space
- New benchmark for electric range - over 800km (500miles)
- Powerful, smooth electric powertrain with neck snapping acceleration
- Good Ride comfort over most surfaces but not class leading
- Build and material quality not up to German standards
- Large panel gaps inside interior
- Some functions on infotainment system not working properly
- Questionable electronics for controlling doors etc.
- Low grip on certain tyres affects dynamics
- Choice of tyres effects range and performance
I like the styling and powertrain as well as the practicality and space, but the build quality and materials used inside the cabin don't appear to be worthy for the high price.
Good summary, I disagree with the trunk size... it doesn't seem to be anything big or practical, he puts a small bag that barely fits, and carrying a heavy suitcase in the frunk is still the strangest thing if you are aware of basic physicsA few thoughts on the Lucid from watching the Edmonds video:
