So are we talking some at least 6 years to perhaps up to 14 years ?
Personally, I'm quite sceptical. I can easily envision electric drivetrains becoming absolutely dominant in the hypercar segment by 2025/26. "Sonorous"-a characteristic that will be of increasingly diminishing significance to the coming generations of hypercar clientele. It will be all about exterior/interior design and performance bragging rights. And the rapid pace of fully-electric drivetrain development in which range, performance and packaging will be highlighted is the scenario that will eventually render ICEs' not only superfluous, but patently archaic as well. Government regulations will also play a major role in the ICEs' eventual demise. New ICE or hybrid hypercar presentations after...say...2025 ? I personally don't think so.
