That looks rather sleek and understated for a Koenigsegg.

Edit: I have driven those roads in the last few days and I don't think I would have taken half of Albanias GDP for a spin on them. It's pure ice.

Koenigsegg have really stepped up their game in terms of innovation over the last couple years. I'd say, they might even have eclipsed Pagani in terms of desirability.

Where is all the money from Koenigsegg coming from? I'm curious. Anyone have info? Can't be only from CvK own pocket.

I struggle to see that, the engine is based on a Ford V8, I know they say it isn't anymore but the basic design is still Ford, Pagani uses an AMG V12. The level of craftmanship in the Pagain is beyond anything I'vbe seen, it's more like a bespoke piece of art than a car.

I've had a good look at the Koenigsegg with the skibox, it didn't feel like a 7 million NOK car, the build quaility wasn't that impressive, compared to Pagani, the Koenigsegg IMO is Lotus level build, the Pagani's detailing is from another planet, nobody apart from Spyker comes close.

Koenigsegg Regera arrives in Geneva with 1500+ hp

Koenigsegg has used the Geneva Motor Show to introduce the production version of the Regera.

Previewed by the Regera concept, the production model has a familiar design but has undergone an "intense period of development, testing and homologation" which has resulted in more than 3,000 changes to the original model.

Koenigsegg only released a handful of pictures but said the production model will have power seats, a wireless smartphone charger, and an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Power is provided by a biturbo 5.0-liter V8 engine that is backed up by three electric motors and a unique Direct Drive system that eliminates the need for a traditional gearbox. Koenigsegg was coy on specifics but said the system uses a "clutch-slip mechanism that uses the hydraulic coupling to convert torque at medium/high speeds during fast acceleration. This allows the combustion engine to gain revs and power, thereby giving the sensation of a traditional downshift with the associated aural enjoyment, even without the traditional gearbox."

Thanks to the high-tech powertrain, the Regera produces more than 1,500 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque. This enables the car to rocket from 0-62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds, 0-124 mph in 6.6 seconds, and 0-186 mph in 10.9 seconds. Given enough room, the model will eventually accelerate from 0-248 mph in about 20 seconds.

Koenigsegg declined to mention pricing information but the company confirmed it has already received several orders for the Regera.

Surely the prettiest of the Koenigseggs? [Although that's not saying much :shifty:]

I actually think Koenigsegg has made pretty cars....Just that the pre-Regera design language, despite evolutions from the CC all the way to the Agera range, was a bit long in the tooth IMO...
