iPad 2: New details emerge

I would love it in white. I think the white color has always been something that made Apple attractive to customers.

Michael, off topic, but how much do I have to pay extra if I return my (brand new) MacBook Pro for the all new model???

you have to check your receipt. They used to have a restocking fee, but I think they may have waived that or were going to implement it later on in the year. You have to check.

On other news, it is being reported that iPad supplies are being constrained which shows that the current iPad may be done away with in the new one will take place instead of keeping the old one and lowering the price like others had suggested.

There are more details emerging a day before the iPad 2 is released.

First, Steve Jobs is considering showing up. There is not particular information other that some people believe he will.

Second, Apple appears to be considering to introduce the cloud-based mobile me service.

We'll just have to wait and see, but I am really excited.

Here we go, we are under 3 hours we see this bad boy.

New pictures have surfaced claiming to be mock-ups, like the other ones we've seen, but to be 100% accurate because it is said they are based on the actual design.

Now all I want is built-in text service, without it, no buy. I do too much of my communication that way to give it up when it should be there.

lol! HOH are we competing to see which one can get the most amount of pictures up? :D

I am stunned. Though I don't care for garageband, it is amazing. I mean, how can android compete with this? I am so happy Apple is stepping it up and making it serious.

10 hours of battery life with an even faster processor.

Lol...I'm posting them as they put them up.

I'm loving it so far. 33% thinner...interesting

BTW...Someone needs to bring Klier to this thread immediately. He is going to flip when he sees this.

I am going to be honest, I am slightly impressed but I think this might be more of an ipad 1.5 instead of iPad 2. You see, the screen resolution remained the same the cameras are VGA and not that impressive, though that is what we were expecting. I'm not sure what to think.

It comes in white, which it never did before that.

I feels more like an ipad 1.5.

It is better than the previous iPad, no doubt, but it is not the jump we saw from the iPhone 3Gs to the iPhone 4. This is more of an iPhone 3g to iPhone 3Gs.

I'm a bit underwhelmed, haven't really seen anything that makes me want to upgrade.

Best regards,
south

I have an iPad 1 and it's great. Obviously the upgrade would be fantastic but the android 3.0 tablets are going to be as good. Android doesn't have as much apps but it is catching up. I've still not decided which one I'm going to go for.

The only difference will be that the apple iPad has the better apps and the android tablets have flash 10.1, so it comes down to what use you have. If you want the apps then the iPad is for you but if you need to use sites that use flash and not so bothered about apps, then the android tablets like the samsung galaxy tab 10.1/moto xoom/Asus etc are for you.

I still think the ipad is superior in every way. But you do bring up one good point that I think Apple will address with the safari browser. For example, Chrome has flash incorporated it so there is no need to download flash. I think with iOS devices they will do the same with an iOS upgrade. It will not be 3, but it may be later this summer that they implement some adobe flash engine that is incorporated into the browser.
