Computers Apple iPad 5 (iPad Air)

Does anyone have an personal reviews of the iPad Air? Still thinking about getting one.

I played with one last week. I used to own an iPad 2, but sold it and bought iPad 3 when it came out. My take on the Air is that it's lighter and certainly "holdable" with one hand. iPad 3 and 4 are a bit too heavy to use on the move and are mostly comfortable to use while in bed, on the couch or seated in front of a table.

If I was going to buy an iPad to day it would be the Mini with Retina Display. It's smaller than the Air but when you hold it, the amazingly low weight makes up less screen realestate. However, if you own an iPhone you will want to get the Air to ensure that there is enough difference in screen size between your devices, or else the iPad will collect dust.

Whatever you do, don't get anything less than 32GB. 16GB is shambolic when some retina ready games clock at 1-2GB these day.

^ Thanks! I was thinking about updating my iPad 2 for the iPad Air. I love the mini, but I rather a larger screen.

My 128GB wifi only was delivered two days ago. It's replacing my iPad 1. Obviously it's like night and day. It's almost too light now. Feels somehow "cheap". But it's incredibly portable.

I'm still getting used to it. Even the battery life isn't as bad as I expected.

One thing though. The iPad Air miles ahead of my tired iPad2. However, the iPad Air require more current or wattage compared to the older models. it is rated 13W now or 5.2v. So your older chargers will work, but might take half day or something to reach 99%.

Apple is awesome.

True. My iPad 3 takes significantly longer to charge than the iPad 2 which I could just plug in and see it juiced up in a matter of an hour. The iPad 3 is one of those devices best charged over night. The battery life is the same though.
