Panamera [Hot!] Porsche Panamera Facelift Leaked !!!

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
I dont think BMW 7 or Merc S class are the true rivals in terms of design. They are not coupeish 4 door cars. The only car more attractive than Panamera in this category is the latest CLS Mercedes.

I second that, S-Klasse and 7-er aren't the true rivals. But not only in terms of design. Also in terms of comfort. That's the reason that for me the Panamera isn't an option. I test drove it for a week (with Air suspension). Can't be compared to S-Klasse.

In real live I like this Panamera; it's low and wide and makes an impression. In my eyes however the FL is too cautious. Changes are barely seen imo. But that's very Porsche-like :)

How is the ride comfort of the Panny overall? I have a ride with over a short distance and good road (Panamera Turbo with Air Suspension) and it was comfy yet also firm in normal setting. Would like to know how it is over the time you had it and different road conditions.

You don't drink? I can't imagine going through life without experiencing excruciating hang-overs!

Seriously Human, the rear-end works for you?

Hey man I stopped drinking nearly 5 years ago. Good thing for the stress, sh!t and responsibilities at work and at managing people is getting at me. So imagine yourself being me and finding "the cure" in alcohol LOL. Would be easier I suppose, yet I will become the perfect AA candidate:D Never drank myself into a coma but enjoyed the fun. Stopped when I began gym. Will have a cold beer on occasion if I feel like it(y)

Seriously, I like the new rear and would love to see it IRL. I would really not mind owning a Panamera. I like the car to the extend of wanting one. But being a realist I will be ordering a 435i and trade the X6M, that's being realistic in the current or rather my current economic climate.

Human,
I drove a Panamera S, PDK gearbox and airsuspension. Mostly on German and Dutch Highways (Autobahn), countryside roads in a rather good condition and only a few kilometers in the city.

Panamera suspension and ride comfort is firm but harmonic. For me best on countryside roads. It's steering is great and sporty. The seats are wellformed and grab your body firmly and good. But compared to my Benz (comfort seat package on board) not as comfortable, even too firm. On the Autobahn the Panamera lets through little square bumps much more easily. In the Benz you don't even notice there are any bumps. Long stretched bumps (waves) in the road (don't know how to say this in correct english) are much better taken by the Panamera. It's ride however gets more comfy the more passengers are on board. The rolling noise on the road is clearly louder than Benz.

The Panamera is quite noisy (compared to Benz) inside at higher speed (from 160 km/h upwards). The operability is compared to Benz less; too many buttons on console in the Panamera imo.

Finally I must say I'm not a fan of the PDK-transmission. It's not as fine and not noticable changing gears as the 7-speed automatic. The start-stop system was too slow (at that time back in 2011).
Overall a nice sporty, limousinelike car. But for me, being a comfortjunk, it's asking too much on my way home. After a 10 hrs day in the office I don't want to be "challenged to play" by my car on my 150 kilometers way home. I don't want to "work" in and with my car. Relax is what my mind tells me. If that's the case, nothing beats a S-Klasse. Don't misunderstand me. It's a great car to drive, if you only have to drive, say at about 40 kilometers a day. Than you can enjoy its sportiness. But it's not a luxury car in the way I understand it and want it to be.
Hope this info gives you an idea.
Regards!

Thanks a great deal! Well spoken and informative indeed:sneaky: For your needs, perfect nothing can or will ever beat the Benz. M-B is obsessed with ride comfort and no other manufacturer spend as much R&D on ride comfort as M-B.

As for me (having owned 2x W203's) and my late dad was a Benz guy (W126's) I believe in M-B for Comfort. But prefer (driving much shorter distances) and loves driving involvement, BMW's and would not mind switching to Porsche. I am for now 'over' my SUV craze (X5'/6's) as such and will order a BMW 435i - asap. Yet I do really like the Panamera's a lot! Just a bit on the expensive side of things:D

Regards+thank you!
Naas.

Anytime, Naas
Nice choice, BMW 435i, especially if it's going to be the GC. (y)
However, if driving involvement is your thing, it won't be too long and you'll be driving Porsche.

I was considering a Cayman, then came the press/spy photo's of the 4ser Coupe...enough said:)
Wish I could wait for the GC but have to trade-in the X6M this year to get the best deal for myself:(

Nope, the rear does looks like a fat cow. It was just much better on the pre-LCI.

Yeah I'm glad I didn't guy this car, I'm over it now for sure. Hurry up with the redesign.

Rather mild facelift. I was hoping for at least some sharper detailing being applied to, say, the lights.

Instead, the facelift brings nothing more than Panamehra.

Redeeming in that video. Hmmmm....
