Panamera [Hot!] Porsche Panamera Facelift Leaked !!!

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.

In that color with the long wheelbase, that's got to be one of the fastest hearse ever.

The current Panamera...if there's a car that makes me flip-flop my opinion of how it looks, it's this car. In SWB GTS guise, it looks fantastic. Here, though....

I would not say the Panamera is an ugly car in general but it's depending from the exterior color how the Panamera appeals. That is my impression. :)

2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive
All it needs is a "Screw You" bumper sticker.

Few automobiles so accurately channel the concept of f#@k everyone as the 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive. Like the 707-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, this Porsche’s extreme speed and incongruence with societal norms bestow upon owners a rarified and awesome offensiveness akin to, say, owning a strip club or being Bernie Ecclestone.

Let’s run down what takes the Panamera Turbo S Executive to that echelon.

There’s the sheer cost of the thing, which makes a perverse sort of sense given that the long-wheelbase Executive series was inserted into the Panamera lineup for 2014 (coinciding with a model-wide refresh) largely so that Porsche could charge more for a Panamera than ever before. In range-topping Turbo S guise, the Executive carries a suitably exclusive base price of $201,495. As they say, the devil is in the options, and extras floated our test car to $241,775.

Up next is gratuitous speed, provided here courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V-8 shared with the regular-length Panamera Turbo S. The engine produces the same 570 horsepower and 590 lb-ft (increases of 50 and 22 over the Panamera Turbo), feeds it through Porsche’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and then to all four wheels. Curiously, the S takes 0.2-second longer than the less-powerful Turbo Executive to hit 60 mph—it still completes the deed in 3.5 seconds—but by 100 mph, the S pulls ahead. It hits 150 mph a full second quicker and eventually stops accelerating at 192 mph.

The coup de grâce, of course, is that the Turbo S Executive makes no practical or logical sense. Standing apart in the world of long-wheelbase luxury sedans, the Turbo S Executive demands that its rear-seat occupants strap into two full-blown sport seats with body-hugging and suit-wrinkling bolsters. Coddling doesn’t factor into the equation. There are no massaging seats. The longer wheelbase serves only to help the Panamera resemble Quasimodo after spending time on a medieval stretching rack and to create a whole lot more space for rear passengers to flail about while the driver explores the car’s reserve of 1.01 g’s of grip and ability to stop from 70 mph in 146 feet.

The über-un-limo does all of this while braaap braaaaaaping antisocially from its quad exhaust outlets, the trick three-part rear wing folding, tilting, and unfolding as speeds vary. Launch control is entertaining. There’s no neck snapping or chest compression—the event is damped like you’d expect in something that’s 203.4 inches long and weighs 4638 pounds. The Porsche simply lists onto its rear tires and shuffles off like a steroidal Cinderella chasing a wheeled pumpkin. Is it any surprise we averaged 12 mpg?

A wise man would take his quarter-of-a-million bucks and spend it on a 911 anda Mercedes S550. The other guy, who we assume is Porsche’s target customer for this Panamera, doesn’t care if bystanders peg him as someone who bursts into dinner parties unannounced, pants-less, flipping two birds to the sky, and hollering for the hosts’ teenage daughter to come take a ride. Even when it wasn’t belching and farting around at a frenetic pace, the Porsche managed to piss people off. The cooling fans quit working during our test, so to avoid a total meltdown we had to nurse it back to our headquarters like a gigantic, traffic-clogging Prius, gingerly keeping it moving just fast enough to maintain airflow over the engine. The Turbo S even told us to shove it from its perch atop a flatbed, and we still loved it.

@mac1

Do you own a Panny or are you a fan of the design?

it is not important my friend ,, what did i say about Panamera is true ,, PORSCHE is more sporty then BMW and it is the fastest sedan in Nurburgring and it is more reliable all these points is true it doesn't matter if i am PORSCHE fan or owner (y)

lets don't forget the Panamera is first sedan from PORSCHE and it is beat BMW from the first round :D

PORSCHE play with Ferrari not BMW :p

good luck for BMW and Toyota with their upcoming sport car i hope it can beat LaFerrrari and Porsche 918 :D

^ It's past 7 PM, so time to go to bed! Come on. And in your bed you can think about what the M5 would be like if it costed 100k more than it does :)

Panamera is not a sedan, btw.

No need to get testy mac1, I was merely trying to better understand your thoughts regarding the styling of the Panamera. I own a Macan Turbo and the wife has a new Boxster S so I am quite familiar with how Porsche's drive and very much appreciate same. All Porsche's are expensive and their customers are willing to pay a premium for them, no argument from me on that point.

The Panamera in my view is a great driver's car wrapped in an ugly duckling suit. Imagine how many more they would have sold if it was a looker? Heck, a top Porsche executive even admitted that the design missed the mark. If you think it looks good, super. I am hopeful that they will markedly improve the appearance of generation 2. And if they do, I may buy one.

i am not from Netherlands ,, and now it is 3:27 AM i think you are sleeping now and you are dreaming about (BMW Toyota super car):D

klier my friend you are 100% know why PORSCHE is more expensive but you are trying to say BMW and PORSCHE in the same level and i am so sorry this not true ;)

by the way the most expensive BMW is BMW 760 and it is still cheaper then Panamera :p

don't worry we can talk about M6 GC it is start from (£ 98,125.00 ) in UK Panamera Turbo S start from
(£ 129,923.00)

ceramic brake in BMW 7395 £

competition package 5500 £

(Power output increased by 15hp to 575hp (423kW) - Exclusive 20” M Double-spoke style 601 M light alloy wheels - Sport exhaust with Black Chrome exhaust tailpipes - Sport steering - Sport suspension)

5635 £ for interior leather (individual) and you know the materials in BMW is cheaper then Porsche you need individual to be in the same level

the price of BMW M6 GC now is 116K £

in Panamera the ceramic brake and adaptive air suspension and the high quality leather is standard and the Turbo S facelift is 570HP in BMW 15 HP for extra money :)

(there is many option in Porsche and BMW but i am talking about standard features in Porsche but in BMW you will pay for it )

now the different is 12,000 £ ,, it is not big different as you said and it is not about money Panamera still faster then M5 - M6 GC

now can you explain for me why the BMW M6 GC is more expensive then M5 ?? same engine same gearbox and everything is the same:rolleyes: if you answer about this question you will know why Porsche is more expensive

Do not try to justify .. +10HP for M5 and -125KG for M5 and it is still slower then Panamera Turbo S
and you said it is about price  and also BMW said it is 560 HP but it is not true M5 and M6 GC have +600HP (dyno test) but can't match Porsche

my friend if i tell you the Porsche Macan is ugly don't buy it ,, you will listen to me ?? absolutely not because you like it the same thing with Panamera also with 911 many peoples don't like it but there is huge fans for 911

but i am talking about performance and why Porsche is expensive

for me the Panamera is great car with unique design and the next generation will be better and in my opinion it is not ugly  maybe there is some mistake but it is not ugly it is like Ferrari FF

Porsche will update the design and Ferrari will do the same thing and this is good thing but i can't say FF and Panamera is ugly that is my opinion (y)

Porsche's $312,000 Panamera Exclusive Series sold out in 2 days

Despite an exorbitant price tag, the very limited production Porsche Panamera Executive Exclusive Series totally sold out in just 48 hours. And it's probably just the start.

According to Autocar, Porsche is enthused by the success of this Panamera Turbo S Executive with every option in the very extensive book and its nearly €250,000 price (about US$312,000 at today's exchange rates) in Germany.

Just 100 of the vehicles were made following its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month. The Exclusive Series cars were available in a special hand-painted metallic black with a dark brown inset running down the middle. They were also fitted inside with Nappa leather upholstery everywhere and 10.1-inch screens for rear seat passengers.

A Porsche exec told the British magazine they've seen the market for these cars and says there's more coming in the future. Which is a smart move. It's a Porsche where all the option boxes are ticked for you, which is less work for rich people to do.

Its funny Autocar and EVO both mention the car will probably be better if it had RWD and steel springs.

Yip - but they are not the target audience. If Porsche did that there would be a lot of unhappy customers, including me..

Gemballa tunes the Porsche Panamera to 720 PS
Runs from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds
Gemballa has introduced their new GTP 720.

Based on the Porsche Panamera Turbo, the model has a twin-turbo 4.8-liter V8 engine that has been upgraded to produce 720 PS (530 kW). This enables the hatchback to accelerate from accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.7 seconds and 0-300 km/h in 26.4 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).

If that's not impressive enough, Gemballa says the acceleration times have been slashed by 1, 3 and 33.6 seconds - respectively - compared to the standard model.

Gemballa didn't have much else to say about the model but confirmed the GTP 720 recently set a new acceleration record for "roadworthy cars of its weight category (approx. 2.3t)" and achieved the best lap time at Sachsenring in a "Panamera-based" model.

I now view the looks of the Panamera much like the 1990s supermodel Nadja Auermann: long, sophisticated, and unmistakably German.
Sure, there were perhaps sexier, prettier models, but few of her contemporaries were as uniquely elegant and memorable.

I think as this car ages it will gain some kind of cult status.

just like every other porsche :D

if you think of it the 356, 911 & 928 all were odd ducks.

I think the Panarema is one of those cars that looks better as it ages, it actually grows on a person after a while and especially looks good with big wheels and 4 tail pipes. The interior is masterfully crafted and with superb seats, good space and a decent sized boot it is actually a good family car that happens to look like a sports car and drive like one also.
