Huayra [Hot!] Pagani Huayra R

The Pagani Huayra, a successor to the Pagani Zonda, was initially revealed online in a press release on 25 January 2011. It was officially revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car is named after the Quechua god of wind, Huayra-tata. The engine is a 6.0-litre twin-turbo M158 V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG producing 544 kW (740 PS; 730 hp) and 1,000 N⋅m (740 lb⋅ft) of torque. The Huayra's body is made from carbotanium; a lightweight composition of carbon fibre and titanium. The Huayra has been redesigned from the ground up, but shares many visual qualities with its predecessor. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 mph (378 km/h). Only 100 units of the Huayra were produced, each costing £1,000,000 (1.05 million US$) without options.
IS it going to be revealed today? Very excited about this car. Probably will challenge the AMG BS as the best track car launched this year.

AMG BS? Do you mean the AMG GT Black Series?
If so, you might want to know that this wouldn't even literally be a comparison: the Huayra R is a track car, like the Zonda R was, like the BT62 or the T50S.
Moreover, these (Zonda R, Revolucion, BT62 and T50S) are also very extreme track cars (yes, even in this category there are "best" and "worst"), much faster than many full-spec race cars. The Huayra R would be the same, since it would literally be impossible for it to be slower than the Zonda Revolucion it replaces.

The AMG BS is just a fast road car and it's not even close to be the fastest track-focused road legal car available today.
Literally apples and oranges comparison here.

Anyhow:

Seems extreme enough.
Personally, I am waiting for the Huayra R vs T50S technical showdown (I expect the Huayra R to be more powerful but likely heavier, aero of course is one of the main quests).

Another teaser. This car is going to be epic

Mr. Pagani wasn't lying when he said it was inspired by the Porsche's 917. The only active flaps are on the wing itself? They seem to be removed from the body.

In short:
- 6L NA V12, 850PS@8250RPM; 9000RPM red line; 198kg weight
- 6sp sequential
- 1000kg of downforce at 320km/h; 610kg at 250km/h (disregarding active aero)
- 1050kg dry weight

The engine is presented as new - Pagani V12-R - but is almost certainly an evolution of the Mercedes 112GT engine from the Zonda R as expected. The power and the RPM are a bit less than rumored, with the peak power achieved only 500RPM higher than on the Zonda R Rev. Also the engine apparently needs a top end replacement every 10000km. The weight of the engine is good, but overall a bit disappointing compared to the Cosworth V12s.

As for the rest of the car, the downforce is also on the low side - so don't expect this to come breaking Nurburgring records by huge margins - but it's probably fine as far as a track toy for amateurs goes. The dry weight is 20kg less than the Zonda R Rev. I am also not a huge fan of the looks, especially the rear wing supports. I think the Zonda R looked better.

I would love to rave about the sound of the engine, but - for some reason - there is no engine sound in the video! o_O And only a render to look at. Come on, Pagani! You can do a better reveal than that!
