Hah, they actually removed the TW Top Gear engine video and re-uploaded it so it now matches the official Pagani version. It's exactly the same, except it misses one frame where it briefly showed the engine from the back. I am sad I didn't download the video so I could show you/analyze it more. What I remember it did show, though, was that the alternator was belt driven and was actually attached to the gearbox, together with one other piece that was a bit covered, so not sure what it was (water pump maybe) - but also driven by the gearbox.

There are too many computer generated models being used in promotion materials these days. The EV Hummer, the Huracan STO, now this. It might just be me being old fashioned, but if I wanted to see CGI cars driven around a circuit I would go play Assetto Corsa or something. This doesn't really do it for me. They must feel that - for whatever reason - they need to ramp up the publicity right now, but I would rather wait until the car is actually finished. I guess we'll see the real car on track at some point anyway, so it doesn't really matter... but I don't know, this seems a bit cheap.

Meh, the Zonda R/Revolucion still look 2 times better and with a much higher "true race car feeling" even to this day.
The Huayra R seems "just" like a more aggressive version of the "standard" Huayra, while you could tell from a first glance during its presentation in 2009 that the Zonda R was a totally different beast compared to any other version of the Zonda.

Not impressed, both by an aesthetic and technical point of view.

What the F are you talking about if anything the normal huayra to the R is a way bigger step than the zonda to the R.
